Hi again everyone. Need some help. Im replacing my rear tyre on my 2nd Gen. 1999 RSV. Made a note of everything except the way that the hub dust seal #8 on enclosed diag fits. Is it the flat side to wheel and indented or slotted face to outside edge. or. Flat side to out side edge and indented or slotted face to the wheel?????? (Cant think of a better word to discribe the two seal faces). The flat side has a rim around the middle but is for all intense and purposes flat. Thanks. Neil. (Old Miner).

I just finished installing a clock and temp gauge from clocks4bikes.com. Let me start by saying what wonderful people Linda and Ross Harjes are to work with. I ordered the wrong gauges to start with but they caught it from my bike description and called me on the phone. After discussing what I wanted to do Ross recommended a setup he designed for another bike. Needless to say it worked perfectly. It includes the gauge and a slotted mounting bezel. It also lights up with the touch of a bottom. I have included photos and install instructions in case anybody else is interested in doing something similar. Also I have the 1.5 inch handlebar risers on my bike with the original rubber buffers. You can see this in the pictures. And the bike is a 2008 RSV. 1) Clean the rubber buffers so the double stick tape will stay on. 2) Cut the tape to size and stick in place. Leave the backing on the out side. 3) Using the slotted bezel as a template mark and drill a pilot hole. 4) Remove the remainning backing from the tape and press the slotted bezel into place. I left a small space between the bezel and the fairing to reduce the chance for vibration. 5) Install a self tapping screw to double hold the bezel in place. 6) Insert the clock Mike

So I will be installing RK mufflers on my RSV this weekend. Got Brad's brackets (Thanks Brad, by the way, they look great) and got the wide V-Twin muffler clamps. The inside of the clamps have a ridge at one end on the ID side. 3/4 of the ID is one size and 1/4 of the ID is a little smaller. How do I install the clamps with this smaller I/D on one end of the contact surface. Do I put the smaller ID onto the pipe and the larger ID onto the slotted end of the muffler (but clamp might not tighten all the way on the mufller side), or do I install the smaller ID onto the slotted muffler end ? Did you guys use any high temp silicone to seal everything up ? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Long live this forum !
