Someone/several have ask about these. I have had these on my bike and they work great. They are more like a floorboard and are comfortable. They adjust in two directions too. They also fold up for to allow you to get in close places. There cheap compared to other foot rest. I have had them for two yrs now and they work and look great. Not covered in rust as I first thought they would be. I ride in rain and wash my bike with water and then blow it off with a $25.00 electric leaf blower from Wally World. Update : I called JC Whittney and talked to customer service specialist. She looked up all the product Sku # difference in the two and they are exactly the same. So why is the price difference I said. Her answer is that the price changed with another factory order and they never changed or updated it on the Webb site. So order this and save $10.00 , Fold-up Highway Floorboards for Harley-Davidson SKU #:1JA 019631 Mfr. #:019631 Ships on 08/29/11 Set $39.99 http://www.jcwhitney.com/fold-up-highway-floorboard-set/p2006697.jcwx?filterid=d17361y2007o60j3 Fuzzy

I seem to have lost a couple of bolts that secure the trunk support to the (side of the) fender. Rather than remove the other existing bolts to check, I am wondering if anyone knows off-hand what the correct size might be. The Yamaha parts fiche just refers to them as "bolts" without dimensions. (SKU 92014-08020-00, button head bolt) Suspect it may be a M6 x 1.00, maybe 16mm, but I'm not sure. Thanks Ross

I purchased one on ebay, I guess the riser is slightly different on the earlier 1st gens. Does anybody got one? I'd won that auction back in March, just now getting around to putting it on, when all of a sudden that little voice goes off in the back of my head, it was saying "you didn't compare the two while they were both out. I had but not closely enough. The 86 thru 93, are approximately .400" longer. . . . .. Lurker coming out into the open, tech question............
Guest posted a topic in General Tech Talk
I cannot get any pressure for the rear master cylinder. I rebuilt it, and suspect that the problem lies in the proportioning valve. I can get one new for about 150 online. My question would be, does anyone know what years this part was the same. Our bike is an 84. Or if not, at least an OEM part number, all the sites i find only give a SKU number. -
So I bought 4 new cylinder head fin covers. The pretty black ones with the silver tips along the fins, like all the Midnight RSV's have for my '99 RSV. I have had them about two weeks, when I got them, I took off the old ones, made sure the new ones fit, and when I went to fasten them on, lo and behold, the holes in them were too big - HUMPH I said, looks like I forgot to order some additional parts. I need 12 of these wedge round things that go into these holes and somehow wedge themselves in there so when you bolt the fins on they stay attached to the cylinders. So those things arrived the other day. So the help I need is: How do I get this part - SKU: 4NK-15316-00-00 DAMPER, ENGINE MOUNT, into this part - SKU: 4XY-1111H-20-00 COVER, CYLINDER HEAD SIDE 4? See attached - I need to get #45 into #44. TIA!

I’m thinking of having the front forks on my 07 chromed. Has anyone ever done this? What might the problems be if I do this mod? It looks like all the parts I would need chromed are listed below. How difficult a job is it on a scale from 1 to 10 to disassemble and reassemble the front forks? I’m used to turning wrenches. SKU: 5MB-23126-00-00 TUBE, OUTER (LEFT) SKU: 5MB-23136-00-00 TUBE, OUTER (RIGHT) SKU: 4NK-23123-10-00 COVER, LOWER (2) SKU: 4XY-23121-10-00 COVER, UPPER (2) Am I forgetting anything or any parts?
