Just replaced my rear shock on a 99 RSV. I opted to go with a Hagon, great value for the money. $399 shipped to my house. I cannot get over how well the bike rides and sits. For the money I think they are the best deal out there. I will post after getting some more miles on it.

I am trying to get Outlook 2010 trial version set up so I can transfer my old email & contacts to Thunderbird. I have outlook running, Windows 7 Pro version, Avast Internet virus software. I can get to the point where it is sending test mail, but then it just sits there. I have tried shutting down avast & explorer firewall, but no change. Screen shots attached below. Any suggestions? Gary

Hi, I am taking a compression test, and have removed a plastic shroud, that sits above the front cylinders. Its about a foot long, and has a large diameter hose running thru it allowed by a slit in it. The shroud sits on top of the valve cover bolts, this is an 83 model. Is this shroud necessary to replace or what. It sure complicates taking the left front plug out. I realize that maybe its there to help direct air thru the radiator or whatever, if you can let me know what its purpose is, and if it can be left out, it would be appreciated. My bike has the fairing lowers and side covers left off the bike if that matters.

Just bought an 06 VMax front wheel for the bike. It will somewhat match the rear VMax design (rear needs painted this winter) Whadda ya think. I am over the top yet?? 1st picture, as it sits now. 2nd picture is new rim, I think I will use the red rotors. 3rd is of rear rim style as it sits now. Gary

It all started rather innocently last year. I was just surfing the net late one night for stuff for the 83 and up came a 85. The photos were so sweet. Beautiful curves, classy act and so available. I just had to have her. She was promising low maintenance and a easy start to the new season. As I got to know her I had to make her happy and do what I could to bring her what I thought would make her happy. My wife said just ride the bike. Today she sits apart and I am picking paint colors and finishes.. How did I get here!!!! What happened????? Why do I like it so much? !!!!!!!! Any suggestions on color???

Help! Took my 83 out last night. BTW MarCarl, she's still running GREAT!! Except I look down and notice that the Temp Gage isn't working. It just sits on the bottom. Now my questions are: is this something to worry about? and how do I fix it? Thanks everyone!

Hi all, It has been a while since I took my sense of humor over my broken backside for a spin I thought I'd take a minute and fill you in on my progress. so far, none to speak of. For my two boys however this is far from the case! I am simply dumbfounded by how quickly and accurately they have assessed my limitations! This I can manage because there is no way I will be bested by a two and six year old, no matter how nefarious they are as a team! The part I didn't see coming and will likely never hear the end of that for the first time in my romantic career, I am the one consistently saying NO. To be more accurate, it's "OH hell no"!! Pain

Is this. Its off the ladder on my boat. I got a longer ladder and need to replace 4 of these. You can see it sits flush on one side cause the ladder folds up and lays over it.

Change the plugs in my "06" today and I notice the area around the carbs on the left side (on/off fuel valve side) had alot of oily film, that plastic box that sits on top of the carbs, I removed the top was the same, on the left oily and normal on the right. Don't know what to make of that? Any ideas? Some kind of blow by????

I recently bought the Barons lowering kit and planned on lowering the bike. Since i had to do other things also I started with the front. thanks to the directions in the tech library I was able to lower the front fairly quickly. Now the question. With the front lowered one inch the bike now sits perfectly level. If I install the baron's kit won't that put the back end 1.5 inches lower and throw off the way it sits again? Has anyone lowered just the front? I was lowering it for looks only but now that it sits level I'm thinking that I just cured the slow speed instability problem and I'm not sure if I want to upset it again. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

A SWEET MACHINE!! :thumbsup2:The local dealer has the Raider S had one on the show room floor Saturday. It is really a nice machine. I love the paint and the way it sits, low and mean. Lucky the wife was with me and made me leave or you never know what might have happened.

I do not know what to do with Tom's bike. It currently sits in a friends garage from church. We had not advertised it, but he was going to park it out front of his house. I feel awful just leaving it sit there. But, I cannot bring it back here. We emptied out the barn to build a cottage, but the construction has stopped on that and now the part bike sits out on a slab of concrete with a tarp over it. I guess it will not be sold this year. I do not trust EBay. I don't have an account there anyway. I asked Jason to post on here and ask what we should do, but he is too busy with everything else he is trying to help me with, with his school and job What to do with my Tom's pride and joy?
