Headlight low-beam burned out, and I would like to replace with the SilverStar Ultra. Anyone got the part number for the SilverStar Ultra bulb for an 08 Venture? Do places like AutoZone or Advance Discount Auto carry them? Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen stores that sell the Silverstar ULTRA in single packs and was thinking of replacing my headlight. Current stock headlight is almost invisible at night with the passing lights on. Was wondering if anyone from the KW area bought the two pack and has a bulb to spare they'd like to sell. Don

Hope everyone had a great Holiday. 06 RSTD, I swapped out the stock headlight bulb with the Silverstar H4, same wattage. Nice. THEN, I just swapped the passing lamp bulbs with silverstar H3's. I know they're 55 watt vs the 35 watt originals. I run no other accessories on the bike. Should the additional 40 watts of power be of any concern? My DC electrical math is not working anymore!

I'm leaving for a trip Sat. morning and I don't trust my HID light any more, so I'm puting the old Silverstar back in. Well, I took the HID lightbulb out, and I can't find the power cord for the headlight to reinstall the Silverstar. I thought I just left hanging when I put the HID in. I know this sounds crazy, but I can't see it anywhere. Where would the cord be coming from? I will be greatful for any help? Thanks

This time it's a MK1 headlight assy with frame and adjuster rod. It is in good to excellent condition, and has a Silverstar bulb in it. PM or answer here...

Went out to go for a ride today and found my headlight was out. High beam worked ok. I felt for the plug up beside the headlight adjuster knob to see if it had come loose (again). It was tight. I then pulled the fairing off and then the headlight bracket and found that the plug was completely melted. The metal clips were still plugged on to the bulb but the plastic was a molten ball of plastic. I checked the circuit with a spare bulb I had and everything still worked. So the Silverstar bulb I put in a year ago had blown. I wonder if the Silverstar produces too much heat or was there a bad connection causing the heat? Don't know if I should put another Silverstar in or go back to the stock bulb...after I change the plug of course. Whatcha all think?
