My '84 VR has turn signals and emergency flashers that work about 1/2 the time. Before I start tearing things apart, is this a common issue with the self cancelling feature on the signals? When the t/s won't work, neither will the 4-way flashers. The handlebar switch works freely. Anybody? Thanks

I'm thinking about replacing my tail light bulb with a red LED to make it brighter. Has anyone done this,, does it work with the stock red lens or do I need to change to a clear lens.. Eventually I also want to change the turn signals to a cluster with running lights, brake lights and turn signals but not willing to spend quite that much at this time.

Hey Guys: I would like to replace both my rear turn signals as well my front ones with LED's. I don't want to loose the 4 way flasher, what can I do to get this all together? Sponge Bob It's a dry heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I look at the turn signals on the front, they stay lit all the time and flash for turn signals, the rear only flash for turn signals. Looking to add more light to the back, has anyone tried mounting front turn bodies on the rear and wired them as running and turn signals?

I just got our "new" 2003 GW with 2007 Motor Trike Conversion home. What a fantastic 2700 mile ride! Love our RSV, but the GW trike is just that step above. Now the problem; when I use the turn signals both of them flash on the dash board like the emergency flashers are on. The front turn signals are fine the correct side flashes, but the entire back is messed up. Everything flashes, the volume of light put out by the rear lights is almost un-seeable and when apply the breaks the turn indicators on the dash light up. I've jacked up the bike and looked under it to see if I could see anything obvious (I know never that easy). The bike wasn't ridden much for about a year before I got it. I first thought of dirty contacts letting voltage through both sides of the switch, but now with the break lighting them up I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

When my bike was imported new to the Uk, the turn signals had to be changed so they only flash when turning & then are off. But I know from your bikes & my previous 'Wing, yours are on all the time. Do any of you know how this is done? Is it by the wiring, if so where would it be, or by a special bulb or something. Greatful for all your knowledgeable help.

I have a 2003 rsv, the question is do rear signals have running lights?. My fronts are lit all the time, has been like this since I bought the bike. Do yours burn all the time?

Hello everyone this is my first time to post. A big thanks to Freebird for your help. I just purchased a 1993 Yamaha Venture Royal and the turn signals are not working. They are not getting power to them and all the fuses are good. Can anyone help. Thanks

I have been thinking that turn signals could be added to the stock Gen 1 mirrors. Has anyone seen this or tried it?

I'm in the market to make a couple of purchases and I wondering if the fine folks of this outstanding forum would be willing to point me in the right direction. First, I'd like to purchase some red 'bullet' lenses for my rear turn signals. I've seen them around in some pictures but I don't know where poeple have been getting them. A little guidence would be great. Second, I'd like to buy a decent lift for my RSTD. I think I read somewhere that Harbor Freight Tools sells one. Is it decent and worth the money? If not, suggestions please. Thanks everyone. Les

Has anyone changed out their Tail Light for one of the Halogen or Xenarc bulbs? Also, what about changing the turn signals to a brighter bulb that are available. I'm concerned about the heat build up especially in the turn signals, but it's winter in the Northwest and I want all the light possible in the dark and rain. Thanks George:depressed:

I am sure many of you have seen the filler panels that Harleys have between the rear fender and the saddle bags, most of the time they have tail lights, brake lights and of turn signals built in. Has anyone tried to do this on a Venture? I am looking at some leds ideas, but most of what I have found are single illumination (all leds on or off at the same time) strips or bars, nothing that you could use as both running and brake or running and turn signals. Just like to get a little more light back there to go along with my signal dymaics LED bar and my LED tail light. Thanks for any ideas.

I would like to convert Regular Bulbs to LEDs. For starters 1) Brake Turn Signals Can I use white LEDs or do I need to get colored LEDs? 2) I have a trailer in which I purchased a set of new LED lights. (Brake, Turn Signals, Running). Can I hook them up straight or are there considerations? 3) Dash Lights Are they all the same size? Same ? regarding color. White or respective color. Will some be too bright? 4) Did I miss any lights 5) Is there a better source regarding quality and price than the local auto store? 6) Are there any draw backs to this?

I am thinking about using two flexible LED strips http://www.ledlightsworld.com/ultraflexible-waterpoof-trichip-led-strip-lights-p-142.html mounted on my MS Batwing and having them light up as aux front turn signals/running lights. Also the plan includes wrapping them back around to the inside of the batwing a couple of inches to provide some signal indication to people driving beside the bike. Question is in a perfect world (forget the legal crap) I would like the strips to be powered on full time but flash on and off with the turn signals...is this possible with the existing wiring? Quick connectors would be used for batwing quick removal which I can do Bike is an 05 RSTD Thanks guys and gals

I have a 2008 RSTD and I just installed the saddlebag guards. I like them fine, except the stock turn signals now almost touch the saddlebag guards leaving a cluttered appearance. I considered purchasing a license tag set up with lights on either side that are the turn signals but then I would leave behind the holes in the rear fender from the original lights. Does anyone make a replacement that either goes onto the existing mount / stem or do any of you have any creative / attractive solutions that you have tried? Thanks. R.

I'm getting ready to add tail, brake, and turn signals to my Voyager kit. I have the lights (6" oval surface mount LED lights from Custom Dynamics...), and I can get a trailer harness and associated stuff locally. What I need to know is were are the connectors for the rear lights (tail, brake, and turn)? I know the rear turn signals have connectors, I saw a set on evil bay.... What I'd like to do is make up some y adapters so I don't have to butcher the stock harness (I'm kinda funny that way.....). Thanks! Y'All ride safe...

I recently switched out the clear for amber bulbs. On the way to the dealer for service I noticed that my signals were not working. So I pulled over and the rears were not lit at all but the fronts were acting like running lights. They were on, but would not flash when I flipped the switch to indicate I was turning. Any ideas what would cause this. I mentioned it to the service guy and (at my request) they said they would check to make sure a bulb hadn't come loose. Service guy said all was good, but I checked the signals before I left and they are working again. To me it seems like a bulb was loose after all. What do you guys think?

OK I am resembling the bike finale and the 4 way flasher switch is acting up I have no turn signals or 4 ways and sometimes I will flicker it back and forth and they will work and so will my turn signals. Is that a sign that the switch is going or am I missing something else in the picture. By the way if any body has a switch for sale let me know. Thanks Al Or is there a way to by pass the switch to make the turn signals work.

Just took a few pics of the sequential turn signals I installed a couple weeks ago. Sorry about the quality of them, but, you should get the idea. I got them from Custom Dynamics. Whatcha think?

OK. Here's what I just did today for additional turn signals. I added a 1 foot long amber LED strip right next to the fairing "eyebrows". Whadaya think?

Anyone ever order from Accessories4bikes.com They seem to have pretty good prices for visors for headlights, passing lights and turn signals. That's about the only dress-up items left for my '05.
