Would this work on our Venture system? http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=BMP-HGW-IPD-V03

I need to replace the 5-pin female (bike end) DIN connector on my 91 Venture - have intermittent connection and they need to be re-soldered. Does anyone have a source for this connector? I've tried Sierra and internet search. Sierra only has cables, not connectors. Only other ones I can find are chassis mount, not cable mount.

Does anybody offer a MP3 jack mod for the mitusubishi radio? Sierra Electronics does one for the Goldwing radio.

I have a 2005 RSTD and I bought an intercom for it last November. I bought it so Karen & I could talk on longer trips. So far We've only taken 2 long trips. Once to Daytona in November, and we just got back from Ohio. So far we've had to send the intercom unit in for replacement, and on this week's trip we were close enough to just stop at Sierra Electronics where we bought the intercom, and had both headsets replaced because the speakers went out. The people at Sierra are nice enough, but it's a real inconvenience to have it not work when you need it. Did I just get a lemon, or is this brand just junk?

I hooked up an intercom on my bike so Karen and I can talk. It also has a a place to plug into a radio. I have tried a small radio and an I-phone, and I can hear them just fine, but Karen can't hear the radio at all. What would I need to do to make it where she can hear it? I bought it from Sierra electronics. I think it's IMC brand.

Always practice what you preach. Phoenix man killed in gun-safety demo Arizona Daily Star Tucson, Arizona | Published: 05.18.2009 A 26-year-old Phoenix man accidentally killed himself early Sunday while explaining gun safety to two Sierra Vista residents. Samuel Benally Jr. was at an apartment on West Tacoma Street when he said guns should be kept unloaded because people could point them at their heads, said Sierra Vista police Sgt. Brett Mitchell. Benally then demonstrated by putting his own 9mm Ruger, which he believed to be unloaded, to his head and firing it, Mitchell said. Benally was flown to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Mitchell said. An investigation is ongoing, but police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved, Mitchell said. Sorry guys, I thought my other post didn't take, but I just didn't look back far enough. About to go read responses now. About to drive 4 hours to Sierra Vista to test ride a Tour Deluxe in the morning. Jim

A couple of weeks ago when Gary N was visiting, he showed me a headset that he had purchased from Sierra Electronics. It is a headset for a half helmet, and something that I was looking to get for myself. I wound finding a canadian distributor out of Quebec, and emailed him to ask him a couple of questions. He responded within the day. I then proceeded to place an order via their website - again, within the day, he had called me back to confirm that what I order was actually what I wanted, and within 48 hours (today), the unit was shipped to my house. Although he is slightly higher (CDN$80) than what you can get online direct from Sierra (US$75), the lack of having to go through customs, paying the cross-border charges and all that, make him more economical and from my experienced, these people sure are customer-focused. Just thought I'd share a positive vendor experience! They are: IMC Communication @ http://www.imc-communication.com/index.php?set_lang=A Cheers,

I finally bought a new set of cables for the intercom system from Sierra and I am curious as to how the end of the passenger one is supposed to lay. These wires were original and the holes where the pins would go were rusty. Currently, the old one in the back is held on with a wire tie on the right passenger hand bar. In the package came two holders for the ends. Did the rear one come with a holder when new? If not, did y'all use the holder that came with the kit? If so, where did you stick it? Is yours on the left or right side? I have had this bike since 94 and just now working my way to headsets, geez.

I was hoping someone could lead me in the right direction. I want to replace my existing antenna with a CB antenna and was wondering if I can get just the antenna and have it fit on the existing bracket. I would really like it if it was 3' or shorter. Any ideas or suppliers? I have asked Sierra MC Electronics and they don't get back to me. Up until this week Wingstuff had a 3' firestick that would have been the perfect solution but has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
