Ron and I took those extra precautions for our health this winter. We both got our Flu shots! Then our Granddaughter, daughter and our son in law came to visit for Christmas. We have both been sick since the 26th of December. Just when we thought we were getting better we both had a relapse. I am afraid to go out of the house. Every one around here is sick. How about you? Hopefully, it is just us. Yama Mama

Sick Leave I urgently needed a few days off work, but, I knew the Boss would not allow me to take a leave. I thought that maybe if I acted 'Crazy' then he would tell me to take a few days off. So I hung upside-down on the ceiling and made funny noises. My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the Boss would think I was 'Crazy' and give me a few days off. A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked, 'What in the name of GOD are you doing?' I told him I was a light bulb. He said, 'You are clearly stressed out.' Go home and recuperate for a couple of days.' I jumped down and walked out of the office... When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, the Boss asked her, '..And where do you think you're going?!' (You're gonna lovethis....) She said, 'I'm going home, too. I can't work in the dark.

Just got done moving to a bigger place, in the past whenever I moved I'd rent a big u-haul and move everything in one load, one day and done. Well since I was only moving about a 1/2 mile away I decided to take the seats out of my mini-van and use it. 99Silver and Cap'n Quirk came over with Gary's trailer and helped move the big stuff, I of course thanked them and said "I can get the rest myself. Bad back and knees I was ready to go with the help of my 13 year old Daughter (who really did help a lot). Then it happened, first it started raining, the temperature started dropping, rain turned to sleet and the sleet turned to snow and everything that was wet turned to ice. So the move turned into a 3 day battle with the elements and left me so sick I'm living on NyQuil and the only time I get up is to make a mad dash to the bathroom. I vow to never move again until I can afford to move South where I will never see this white stuff again.

this just made me sick. Its probably a good thing Im not there as I may be tempted to send him to meet god and see if hes wright. Now the westboro church is going to protest a funeral of 7 kids that died in a house fire as they are syaing its the wrath of god because they live in the same state that the initial lawsuit against the westboro church was taken out.Any patriot guard riders near by. And Don if this is too inflamitory or political please remove this thread. I have a 1983 venture it will idle on 3&4 only is this right or does it need to idle on all 4 cyl if not right anyone know what i need to do

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. A great day for a ride but here I am, sitting on the couch surfing. One minute I'm freezing the next I'm burning up. It's not even flu season yet. At least I have a good look'n nurse to take care of me. Chicken noodle soup is a wonderful thing.

Well its time, I have shoulder surgery in the morning. Not looking forward to it, but it'd be nice to have full range of motion back. Hopefully I'll be back up and riding soon, figures, the weather here is looking good for the weekend and I'll be outta of it for a few weeks....errrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Not give up riding. Had you going. No I gave up smoking. Been smoking since I was 19, Cold turkey. Had to go back to Sacramento,Ca. to finish up on some workers comp test they wanted. On the way there I got sick. It got worse. I spent 3 days in my motel room coughing and sleeping. and just trying to get better. Did my test. Didn't get to see any friends while I was there as I was affraid that I would get them sick. Off and on I would try to have a cigarette. Well it didn't work, made things worse .Coughing was harder and ribs began to hurt as if I had fallen down and cracked them. Well, That did it for me. It has been a little over 2 weeks and haven't picked one up yet. I am still coughing but not like I was then. Guess my lungs are cleaning them selves up. The urge is still there and will probably will always be there. But then I think......Do I want 40 more years of riding or a short life of hacking and coughing and being put in the ground six feet under OR would I rather ride and have the air going around me then be sitting in some hospital with a tube up my nose. Also I would like more time with the family. Bottom line. Besides, I told the wife that what I save in not buying cigarettes, I can buy goodies for the bike. LOL. Be safe Bill

My dutter is sick...very sick....got a virus..I will stay on as long as I can tonight, but the dutter is going in to see the geeks tomorrow...will be offline for a few days...for those of you who are waiting on their fleece jackets...I will have to call you by land line when they arrive and when they are being shipped...for anyone who needs to place an order , you also will have to use a land line..Its gonna get boring around here for a while.. I will have to get my fill of you guys tonight and cause as much chaos as I can....:rasberry:

Poor baby...Came home from work today and guess whos big green eyes are peeking out from under the blanket?....Yep Taters caught the flu from me...As much as I would like to get back at her for all the shots she threw at me this past week when I was sick..I just cant do it...Gonna take care of her....Gave her chicken broth, got some ginger ale for her, and medicated the heck out of her.....that should due for now...Funny thing,..I asked her if she needed anything and she asks me to do only one thing..."CHECK TO SEE IF I HAVE ANY NEW FRIENDS REQUEST".... Go figure!!!!!!! Even when shes sick she gotta rub it in...

I for one am sick and tired of all those e-mails(chain letters) that promise everything under the sun.Iam looking for the article that someone had posted awhile back that you could send out to all your friends that states that you will not forward any e-mails because they in fact will not make you rich or save the world.does anyone remember this article ? Kurt827 has had a very bad run of luck. After laying down his bike down earlier this year, he has been very sick recently. We just got word that Kurt has been in the hospital for about a month. He had the flu. Then was still complaining. Put him in the hospital find his galbladder needed to be removed. Then still problems and more testing showed problem with his pancreas problems. He has been a very sick man. I managed to get him on the phone today. He is home as of yesterday and hopefully on the mend. He is weak being down so long. Thought everyone would be interested in his wellbeing. If anyone is interested in sending get well card, let me know and can get you address.

Aint mother nature grand..........I havent ridden either one of my bikes in the last 10 days and it may be a while longer before I can get on and ride again. I am suffering from a recurring Pilonidal Abcess, that has been treated many times in the past 12 years but keeps rearing its ugly head almost yearly, nothing they have done has cured it. I wont go into detail of what it is, but I will tell you this........."Its a real pain in the a..!!!" If you want to see what it is just google it.........but dont look at the pictures. I am hoping it will clear up before next Saturday so I can attend Ecks lunch meet & eat that I have been looking forward to.

I remember seeing many months ago a list of screw on filters that fit first gen ventures. I am sick of messing with that o ring. Anybody know of a filter that will work?
