I read a recent thread about using car tires for the rear of their gold wings........Will this work on a 2004 Yamaha RS Venture? And why would I do this. I will be needing to replace my tires shortly and just want to know. Okay, I know someone out there has some experience with this; help me out.

Changed to the Iso grips, like the larger diameter. I read some of the previous threads aboue glue. I tried the dish soap, didn't hold. Tried black gasket sealer, that didn't hold. I'm reluctant to use the Iso grip glue and they say its PERMANANT. I want to take them off here shortly and modify them to put the factory weights back on. Any suggestions as to what glue will hold them from turning and still be able to remove them from the bars without ruining them?

Tinkerbell now has her motorcycle operators learners permit. She goes to safety class in two weeks and will be on the road on her own bike shortly thereafter. Looks like we'll have to buy "safety chrome" for two bikes soon........

Does anyone have the bushing that goes in between the saddle bag and the fender on a 2005 RSTD? It's chrome and about 1" long. A bolt goes through the rear end of saddlebag then the bushing then into the fender. Going to need it shortly so hopefully someone has a spare they want to sell. If I can't locate one on here anybody know they part # so I can order it? Thanks and God Bless. mike

Hello all, Wow, these bikes are amazing, they run so well on 3 cylinders, you hardly know one is fouled. It seems that I keep fouling one of my plugs, when I take it out it is wet, then I put a new one in and it runs real well for a while. I have gotten pretty good at touching the exhaust pipes shortly after start up to see if they are all warm. So what is the most likely source of this fouling do you think? D

I bought my 05 Venture the Friday before Katrina hit. Today I bought a trike before another one hits here. Got a 2004 pewter goldwing with a new Trike Shop (roadsmith) kit on it. It has 33000 miles on the bike part and looks brand new. I will be selling my Venture shortly. Tried to attach photos but it said I was missing a security token and to notify my administrator. So until then.
