I have a Leatherman Wave Multitool and like to carry the two tool carriers with it on my belt. When I ride I always have it with me. Well, the sheath is wearing out and I am looking to replace it. Anyone have recommendations on what they have found to be good sheaths for this multitool? Iowa Guy

Toward the end of the season my 86 wasn't too appreciative of wet weather....it would kick up quite a fuss for about 10 -20 kms (as I believe the engine would warm up and dry the moisture of the plug wires)...then all would be just fine. I actually sprayed the wires which was helpful but didn't quite elieviate the problem. A collegue gave me a set of wires that he wasn't using to replace mine. Question lead in......if you look at a cross section of the current wire it is braided core with a black sheath surrounding it......the wires he gave me are braided core, white inner sheath then the outer black sheath........Is there a big difference???...can I use the wires he gave me?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I recently purchased replacement braided SS hydraulic lines (front brake and clutch) and plan to install them as soon as we get some lousy weather - perhaps this weekend. I was having a look at the stock setup and noticed that the rubber lines run inside a soft rubber sheath for part of the run. Is it necessary to keep this sheath to protect the plastic covered SS lines? Any tricks or things to watch for while making the swap. Any issues or major dis-assembly needed to run the lines (I haven't had a really good look yet). I don't have speed bleeders or a vacuum pump so I am hoping I don't run into trouble getting all of the bubbles out! Thanks Ross

Hi Guys and Gals. I've read through a few threads about risers and cable lengths. Some say the stock cables will work, others say get longer cables and one said they rerouted the cables. Well I took a chance and purchased some risers and planned to use the stock cables but they bind way too much for me. I rerouted them behind the forks, but I think the radius is too short and the cables are binding in the sheath. I think I'm really gonna like the risers so they stay. My question...How long are the stock cables and are there over length cables in the black plastic sheath? All I can find are the steel braided and I'm trying to keep the cost down. (I like sleeping in my own bed):buttkick:Thanks in advance for any help or advise.
