I have a really bad hip so I sit leaned more to one side, cause it is more comfortable. Now I try to sit more strait up but just cannot help leaning slightly. My question is what can I do to make the seat a little more comfortable for me. I know there may not be anything but I gots to ask. Shaun

I keep seeing "2 up" and thought it was referring to 2nd gear but not thinking so any more. Can someone explain this to me. Thank You. Shaun

Thirdbike got me a set of carbs. I also learned that these are WAY harder to put on than take off. Two hours of disagreeing with them I had them on. A half hour later she was running. Just let it idle for about 2 minutes but that was all I needed. This sit and everyone here are great. Thank you all. Shaun

I got to talking with the guy that used to do all my lettering for my race cars. He says that it would be easy for him to do up a vinyl decal that we can put on the scoots pretty easy. Now if only 1 is made it is $10. However the more I can get made the cheaper each one becomes. Now if anyone wants this I am willing to mail them out to everyone once they are made so the only cost will be the decal itself. But I may be out of line even having one made for my bike. I just thought if I could get a dozen or so made that would get him to keep the templates on hand it would be neat. Shaun PS- if this is in the wrong forum feel free to move it and beat me with a wet noodle. Shaun

Well my little silverwing always did decent on gas at around 55mpg. Well last weekend I put in some sea-foam and rand it for just a bit. It has sat for couple days. Me and a friend decided to take advantage or a beautiful day and went for a ride. Total distance was 208 miles. Total gas I used 2.9 gallons. So my mileage has gone up to almost 72 mpg!!! Sea-foam is awesome. Just wanted to share. Ohh yea if you ever find yourself behind a manure spreader pass it as quickly as possible and convince yourself that was mud that was falling of of it. Hello. I live in Iowa and have recently bought a 1983 Venture. It was suppose to just need a little work to free up the throttle but when I got into it it turns out that the carbs are in sad shape. I did get the bike to start and idle. It will not rev up due to the carbs. I had one person tell me that this is a big repair and I can be looking at over a thousand dollars in repairs. I do not think that is right. I also have a 1981 Honda silverwing that I spent several months putting together and was told the entire time that it was junk, well I have been riding it for 5 years and put almost 40000 miles on it without an issue. So I do not give up on things, I just find out how to fix them and move on. Is there a trick to removing the carbs? Is there any places to avoid or makes sure to see when getting parts? I am really looking forward to getting her back on the road so any help will be greatly appreciated.
