OK folks, I know that vitamins are important to us all but.... I haven't felt good for a while now. My wife is always on me to go see the doctor and find out what is wrong but I am pretty stubborn. Basically I just have no energy, severe insomnia, a list of other things. To be honest, I have been feeling really bad for a long time and my wife claims that I have been struggling for about 3 years now. So, she called me when I was away on one of my business trips a couple of weeks ago and told me that she had made me a doctors appointment and that I was expected to keep it. Don't you just hate pushy women. Went to the doc last week and they ran a lot of blood tests and etc. They concluded that my problem is a severe lack of Vitamin D. According to them, it is in the dangerous level. I know that vitamins are important but I don't think I realized that there was a "dangerous" level of a deficiency. I guess a usual daily dosage of vitamin D is around 1000 UI. They actually have me on prescription vitamin D for the next 8 weeds of 100,000 UI per week. I am taking one 50,000 UI prescription only vitamin D twice per week. After that they will check it again and then I will be on a typical over the counter strength. So my question is, have any of you ever had a problem with a severe vitamin D deficiency? Did you get it treated and did you feel much different afterwards? According to my online research over the past couple of days, it can lead to fatigue, insomnia, high blood pressure, Type II diabetes, impaired vision and a long list of other ailments. I have already "googled" it but I have found that "ventureridering" it can often lead to better search results.

This is just a note to say that I hope all our members in and around Missouri are doing OK. With the severe flooding going on there, I hope you are all on high ground. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

The manual recommends 80W. Amsoil makes several from 75W-90 to 75W-110 to 75W-140. What are you using? Some of Amsoil's is labeled "Severe Gear Oil". Is this overkill or is it good? Reasons why you use whatever it is you use is also appreciated. Thanks.
