  1. Just messing around on eBay and decided to look at the Honda Rune. Couple 2004's out there for $16k & $17k. I think they are smoking something. Guess they forgot they weren't hot sellers to begin with. Take off the 1 at the beginning of that # is more like it. I like the looks of them personally.
  2. I found these forks on ebay last week and missed the end of the auction. I asked the seller if they were truly in good shape and if he would sell them for his minimum bid plus shipping. He said yes so I took a chance, $100 shipped. They showed up today and look great. Nice to know not all ebay sellers are selling crap. Since buying my basket case this spring i've received a lot of junk off ebay. I hope I can find the rest of the stuff I need for this conversion in as nice of shape as these forks. Now I just need the rotors and the calipers and the progressive springs and some anti-dive block offs and a fork brace and new brake lines and...and...um...nevermind...Now i'm bummed out...i'm gonna go get ready for work...talk to you guys later.
  3. Purchased items from MiCarl and Skydoc17 recently. Excellent customer service. They will bend over backwards to take care of you. I would purchase from them again! I would recommend these sellers to anyone! -------------------------------- Admins & Mods, can we have a subforum created for Good Sellers so posts like this can be collected in? All members can locate them easily and provide our members a good sense of security, quality and customer service. I use this extensively in another forum I hang out with and love it. Thanks again, Rick
  4. Often times we are quick to criticize dealers or ebay sellers for poor service, dishonesty, or other issues. I have had a very positive experience with an ebay seller of used motorcycle parts and wanted to let you know that this is a person/business that has impressed me. The seller's ebay ID is "motorcycle_parts_4_sale", and I think they are based out of Utah. I bought a part from them through ebay a little over a week ago. Not a big deal, only came to about $22 including the shipping. I received the package this past Saturday, delivered by FedEx. When I opened the box I found that the part had been broken in shipment. The box showed no signs of damage. I then looked closely at how it was packaged, and it was obvious to me that the shipper didn't properly cushion the part to prevent damage. I took pictures of the part, of the box, and of the packaging materials used. I then emailed those pictures to the seller and stated that if he had another one of these items on hand I would like for him to send it to me as a replacement. If not, then I wanted a complete refund to include the shipping charges. To be honest, I kind of expected an argument. But what I got was a reply email apologizing for their error and the damage. I also got an almost immediate refund of all charges, no questions asked. The other thing that impressed me about this seller was that they immediately posted positive feedback for me as soon as they received payment. They didn't wait until after I posted feedback for them like so many sellers do. Needless to say, they will receive the highest feedback possible from me. Anyone can make a mistake, the good ones will acknowledge it and fix the problem. In my opinion, you can't go wrong buying from 'motorcycle_parts_4_sale'. I'm not associated with this seller in any way. This was my first experience with them, and I just want to give praise where praise is due.
  5. Hey folks, need some help here. I'm looking to purchase a set of aftermarket pipes and after Googling the Internet umpteen thousands of times, it seems the only sellers of any of these exhaust systems are located in the US. Does any one know of some decent Canadian dealers? I'm tired of getting screwed with the exchange rate and I'm damn pissed at the rip-off brokerage fees UPS charges (they ding you for almost the cost of the product!). There must be SOME Canadian motorcycle stores that I can pick up a set of Vance and Hines or Bubs from. Any one have any connections? Bluez Oh.....PS: Slip-ons or the entire system.....which is better?
  6. Lately I can believe some of the stuff sellers are listing on Ebay. Dirty, rusted, looks like they drug the bike out of Freebird's pond, and they expect a venture rider to bid on it??? It's happening more and more. Are they that hard up... or dumb??? I'da tossed it in the dumpster. EXAMPLE
  7. Well, Now that the RSV is running good I can focuson whats improtant. MORE CHROME!!! LOL. I like pretty chrome. I recently saw a breather conver that had the American Eagle on it but I couldn't find out where it came from and now I have found another picture of a cover and hoping that someone can point me to some sellers of these items. I am going to try to attach the pic I have of the last one I saw. If anyone knows of any seller let me know by pm please. It will be appreciated.
  8. I think posting these out of wack Ebay auctions just demonstrate how ignorant a few Ebay buyers and sellers actually are. FAIRING SHIPPING
  9. Canadians who make a habit of selling goods on eBay should brace themselves for some attention from the tax department. ADVERTISEMENT The Canada Revenue Agency has won the right to examine files of the auction site's so-called "power sellers" - those Canadians who generate at least $1,000 US a month in billings from their online sales. The tax department wants to know if these big sellers are declaring their eBay income. A recent Federal Court of Canada decision affirms an order last year that requires eBay Canada to provide tax officials with the full account information on these sellers, including their names, user IDs, mailing addresses, billing addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. The online giant must also supply merchandise sales information about the power sellers, including gross annual sales. The order applies to any Canadian individual or business who had power seller status in Canada at any time during 2004 and 2005. EBay Canada lawyers had argued that the computers that housed the information were located in California. But under questioning, eBay lawyers acknowledged that the information was easily accessible in Canada by its Canadian operation. "The reality is that the information is readily and instantaneously available to those within the group of eBay entities in a variety of places," wrote Mr. Justice Roger Hughes of the Federal Court of Canada. "It is irrelevant where the electronically-stored information is located or who as among those entities, if any, by agreement or otherwise asserts 'ownership' of the information." Mr. Justice Hughes noted that the Income Tax Act permits the Canada Revenue Agency to carry out somewhat of a fishing expedition. "The wording of subsection 231.2(1) is very broad; it enables the minister to require 'any person' to provide 'any information'," he wrote. "The only constraint is that the request must be made 'for any purpose related to the administration or enforcement of this Act'." But eBay Canada lawyers said the government had failed to show sufficient evidence that the tax agency was carrying out a "genuine and serious inquiry" into power sellers, as a previous court ruling had required. Hughes reserved judgment on that part of the case, pending a later hearing. EBay is the largest online auction site in the world. In its most recent fiscal year, it reported revenues of almost $6 billion US.
