Just wanted to say hello. Sold my Honda VTX and now have a 2001 RSV. Has about 66,000 miles with no real maintenence done to it so I'll be picking some brains on here. Sure glad to find a friendly group for this bike. Scott

Is there someome here named Scott Crego? Possibly from North Carolina. I have someone by this name attempting to join our Facebook Venturerider group. His profile pic is of an RSV. When I tried to add him to the group, it said he was already a member, but when I check the group roster, he isn't on it. It will not let me use the "ignore" function, nor will it let me add him. So, it's just sitting there, asking me to add him, but I can't do anything with it. It could be a major glitch, or he could have some kinda weird privacy settings that is preventing it. Did one of you guys add someone by this name? Is this the name of a member here?:think::think:

I'm in need of some volunteers. Don't tell Marca, but she has a birthday coming up, Nov 15, and I need 60 volunteers to help out celebrating this milestone. Yes I said 60 volunteers. So if you think you could help out, I have a chef who will cook some food and a place to sit. What the volunteers need to do is to eat what's been cooked and served on a platter. Can't tell you why I need 60, but there will be lots of food, so that may be one reason. The date is Nov 15 2011 The time is 7pm,,,,, do not be late The place: Scot's on Scott,, 74 Scott Ave, Paris Ont Marca should arrive about 7:05, and she is NOT supposed to hear about this from anybody. PS,,,, There shall be best wishes only!!!! we already have tooooooo much stuff. Please post on the calendar so I can keep track. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=286&day=2011-11-15 We'll see how this pans out,,, hopefully it'll work. Carl

I have a '99 RSV and in this off season I want to update my bike to make it more comfortable for my wife (rider). Wondering what suggestions you guys have and what you have done to make it a little better. Wondering about armrests. Are they work the effort? How about other suggestions? Thanks, Scott....

I tried SeaFoam in my ’99 RSV this week. After seeing the rave revues of the product here in the forum I said “Why not?” Within 15 miles I felt a noticeable increase in power. My records indicate that I had been averaging just over 37 mpg. On the first tank with SeaFoam I got 40 mpg and on the next tank without SeaFoam I got just over 40 mpg. I talked with my friend Scott Bartley of Knuckleheads Motorcycle Center, an independent sales, repair and self-service shop, here in Chambersburg, PA. He deals mainly in used motorcycles and aftermarket parts. He tells me that one of the first steps in preparing a used cycle for sale it adding SeaFoam to the fuel, especially one that has been setting for a while. What a great product, thanks to all the forum members for relating their stories about it. When I talked to Scott yesterday he recommended another product that the forum members should be aware of. Has anyone tried Bike Brite? Just spray it on and hose it off with a strong stream. I was amazed by how it made the chrome, paint and vinyl shine. The windscreen needed a quick wipe with a soft towel to remove the last of a weeks worth of bugs and I just towel dried the rest. I am as impressed with it as I am Sea Form. You can contact Scott for more info about Bike Brite at “bikeknuckleheads@aim.com”
