My dear wife has told me to go out and get a new digital camera for fathers day. I have a top $ budget of $250 but the lower the better. I want something that's small enough to carry in the tank bib that I can pull out and shoot while riding, it's got to have a decent optical zoom for scenery shots without a lot of lag time between shots. I'd also like it to have HD video that is not time limited for shooting ride video. I don't take pictures of the night sky very often. I'd use it mostly for scenery, portrait, parts pics and video. The easier to use the better. My last 2 cameras were Canons A620 and a A570IS I'm looking for recommendations from experienced photo shooters or a similar to me novice with actual hands on use, please.

Next week Thursday, Barb and I are heading down to see the Grandkids in Murfreesboro, TN. Sunday we're meeting friends near Cairo, IL, and the 4 of us are heading towards PA, WV, & OH. for a week of sightseeing. If you know of some roads or scenery in this area that shouldn't be missed, please let us know. We have nothing planned, just wearing out some tires.... Frank D.

There are many things wrong with this video (lack of gear, dangerous stunts) but it is a beautiful representation of why we ride motorcycles, and why we enjoy the friendship and companionship of those we ride with. There is also some awesome photography and scenery. if you haven't already, check out my regional rally at the hub next week july 29th, 30th, and 31st, at the hub motorcycle resort in arkansas. nothing fancy just a nice get together of venture riders and friends. lots of great riding, scenery, commeraderie, in the heart of the ar. mountains. hope to see you there. more info under regional rallies. bill

From Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway) take Highway 40 south through Kananaskis Country and keep going higher through the Pass and finally down to Highway 22 near Turner Valley. Note that this route is only open between June 15th and December 1st. It is very high elevation, you are often looking down at the vegetation line. Awesome scenery! There is a small gas station / convenience store about half way through the ride. Bob LeDuc

We're taking a family vacation, and looking for some info on, places to go, and any good riding highways. I've never been to lake of the "o", MO. If anyone's been there, and can give me any insight, on some good scenery, twisties, and pitstops, it would be appreciated! CLAWED:dancefool:

just a little plug for lewis from one who has been there done that and doing it again. vogel is a meet not to miss. lewis really does it right and it is some awesome riding, and some of the most beautiful scenery there is. i've been there the last two times and always look forward to going back. not to mention the neatest tshirts of all the meets. hope to see a bunch there. bill:clap2:

We spent 3 days in this area the scenery is magnificent the roads are good. I would recommend a stop here.

I found a couple of vids on youtube taken in and around Nelson BC where the Kruisn the Kootenays Rally is going on in July 2009. A couple of friends of mine did this run a couple of summers ago from a city a couple of hours west of here all the way up to Alaska. I know they rode Harleys on this run but I thought some ppl would want to see the scenery anyway, some of it is so gorgeous!!... (note the Harleys had breakdown issues... ) http://www.scra.ca/alaska
