During my day long yesterday, while riding on a rolling hilly road, i let off the throttle and went into the scary wobble that i have heard about. What is the best way to handle this scary event in the future?

I see that most recommend the EBC brake pads for the RSV. I was wondering where to order for the best price. Also, has anyone had any problems with excessive disc wear due to using the HH sintered pads.I have got to do something, the stock pads just do not do a good job of hauling down 900 lbs. when you need it. Pretty scary when you are sqeezing the front brake lever real hard and pushing down on the back at the same time and the bike seems like it is taking forever to come to a stop.

Never guess what I done, I sort of dropped Naugh-T's new bike. Took it off the trailer, started it up and brought it down to the sidewalk and put the kickstand down. As I walked away and about 10-20 seconds later I turned back and it starts to fall over. I know the kickstand is down all the way but maybe with the slight slope it rolled forward. It was scary I picked it up but only after the signal light smashes, a couple other sratches and a bunch in the wind shield. Extremely happy there are No scratches in the paint. Then I thought how scary it will be to tell Naugh-T , who took it much better than I would have. No pics. Brad

Ok been a while since I updated you all on Muffinman. They got word they may be moving again by next week. They'll be going to a base near Iran about 6 miles from it. Evidently it's an old soviet era base. So I'll let ya'll know when I know. They've been talking about this for a while, but nobody could make up their minds what was going to happen. Kinda scary the folks they put in charge now. Oh as far as my weather looks like we passed to the rain line, Yipee. Margaret

Gentlemen and Ladies The 05 RSV I purchased in Apirl has been running great up to now, however just today it starting misfiring out of both mufflers when slowing down. I mean like a gun going off. In Canada that could be a scary time since it is very quite up here. Any ideas/suggestions on what could be the cause and more importantly the cure.

today i was bidding on a brand new 460 progressive rear shock and spring still in the box, for my gold wing on ebay. it lists for $604.00. the best price i have seen was $509.00. on ebay there was a buy now price of $425.00 with $12.00 shipping. i jumped in on the bidding. since i was going to get some sleep. i dropped a max bid in of $250.00. when i signed off i was high bidder at $104.50. any way the auction ended at midnite so i get up and was expecting the other bidders to kisk butt at the last minute. not so. i got the shock for 104.50 plus the shipping. the seller has 100% positive feedback. needless to say i'm flying high on the best buy i ever made on ebay by far. now we will see if the seller keeps his 100% feedback. kind of scary.

As some of you will recall, my dad had back surgery (at 89 yrs) last month and the anesthesia that they gave him made him a little crazy. He was having hallucinations and paranoia, thought he was somewhere else, thought the wall was the floor ("Why do they have the TV and those pictures on the floor?"), etc. One night, as he was having dinner, the nurse brought his meds in and he said "Isn't this the greatest restaurant? Not only do they have great food, they even bring you your pills!" It was scary, but in some ways it was also rather comical. Any way, after a few weeks he was released to a rehab hospital. Another week or so there. He kept asking to be taken home because he felt like a prisoner. Slowly the "sundown syndrome" went away and he realized what was what. He said it was great because it used to be that he had to stop walking and rest because his back hurt so much, now it's just his legs that start to hurt, because he has barely used them the last 4 or 5 weeks. Finally, Wednesday he was released and went home. That night he started wheezing and having a hard time breathing. He said it was like his broncitus coming back. He decided to sleep sitting in his recliner. The next morning he said that he couldn't breath so 911 was called, he was rushed to the hospital (the third so far) and into the ER. He told the doctor that he felt like he was dieing. After tests and ex-rays, the doctor said "You were. Your lungs were filling with water and if you hadn't come in you would have literally drowned." It seems that the other hospitals had each given him meds (some of the same one from each with different names, so he was getting double what he should!) and his body was filling his lungs with water because of them. He was given diaretics, and his body started flushing out the H2O. He spent the next two nights there. He came back home today and is feeling much better. But he was feeling better before. It's scary how badly hospitals can screw up. If my father wasn't so strong and so much of a fighter, he would probably be dead now. I am guardedly optimistic, hoping there isn't something else waiting in the wings to bite us, and hoping that the hospitals haven't screwed anything else up. He wanted me to thank all those that had prayed for him, and especially the VR.o members that signed the get well card for him at the last N Ga Breakfast. Blackjack brought a card and all signed it. I was touched by that as well. Thanks guys! Sorry this is a little long but thanks for listening. Thanks for caring. Thanks for praying. Thanks for being there...Family. T Oh yeah, do me a favor and don't stop praying just yet!!!
