Reassembling the 87VR XVZ1300 for mayby the 40th time, I'm trying to address and correct all known bugs the bike has had. My current road block is the temp gauge in the gauge cluster it does not work. Or, should I say it does not work correctly. Meaning that it is not calibrated right. Cold the needle is halfway up the scale. At normal operating temp the needle is pegged off the hot scale. Does anyone one have an old set of gauges laying around with a known good temp gauge the could part with, sell or trade?

Inquiring minds want to know?! I have a 1/32 scale Ninco digital slot car layout with 82.5 feet of twisties & straights that I just got back up running after a 2.5 year busy break from it. Tomorrow I'll be tuning up my 70 chipped cars so they will run good again after sitting for 2.5 years. It will run up to 8 cars at a time on a 2 lane track with lane changers you can actuate for your car from your controller. Very cool racing action! My layout has a lot of little "scenes" with exotic cars, vintage motorcycles, a gnarly biker gang, a winners circle, etc... I guess I'm really into cars since I also have a 1/43 (mostly), 1/24, & 1/18 scales metal die-cast car, bus, truck, 4WD, motorcycle...collection with 350+ vehicles. I've been trying to break into the model railroading scene. About 3 years ago I bought most everything I need to make an HO layout with enough engines & rolling stock for about 8 complete trains. At this point I'm seriously considering trying to turn my HO stuff into N scale stuff & doing an N scale layout (room/size constraints in my house). Anyways, these are some of my hobbies. Is anyone else out there into any of this stuff too? Doug Nordin

I have been reading and reading and reading and not getting a good feel for my situation. So I will ask the experts! I have a new Piggybacker XL that I bought last year and haven't used. I'm getting ready for a trip in August so figured I should try this thing out. I find a slow speeds I have a very bad shimmy and smooths out a little the faster I go but to tell you the truth I didn't feel very good the way it handled so I kept it at 80kms max/48mph. I wouldn't dare go any faster and headed back to the garage. These are my specs. Trailer Tires - 28psi Rear Shock - 26.5psi Front Tire 42psi Rear Tire 49.5psi Front Forks - I guess 6lbs? on pump 3 strokes before 10Lb mark Tongue Weight 33lbs (weighed by lifting off ball....it was 28 when i chked off bike) Trailer Weight 248lbs (weighed with scale on each tire with tire on opposite side level with scale) Trailer Tires were balanced So what do you think...... Is it possible my tires are not mounted square to trailer frame? Looking for ideas.....I have heard it said many a time that you don't know its behind you so it has to be something I'm not doing right.I can tell you I knew it was there and scared the crap out of me..... Thanks Keith

Going to the Sun Highway, Glacier National Park . You have to do this in late June through August or it might be closed. Incredible Mountain views with flowered valleys and pristine lakes and rivers. I have traveled all over the US and this is without a doubt the most beautiful road we have been on. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would put it at a 3 for challenge. It takes about a day of riding through it but I would spend at least two in the area to truly enjoy the scenery and roads.

Any one have a set of front turn signals they are not using? Or know of a good place to buy generic bolt on ones that aren't to expensive? With a baby on the way my mods have to be on the low end of the price scale. The previous owner converted to very small leds and I'd like some brighter signals up front.

Hi All, I am trying to get my 90 working right. I do not think the owner before me did anything yet ride this bike and he did not even do much of that. I pulled the plugs and they were rusted on the outside. Also they looked as if they were burning right not black etc. I got my carb tune today and hooked it up to sync the carbs. I can bearly get them to move at an idle. when burping the bike they do jump up yet then settle down to the bottom of the scale. I can get the readings to change as one would expect with the balancing screws yet all at the bottom of the scales. Right now I am thinking a big vacumn leak what do you all think. Thanks DAZ

OK folks...I may again be getting myself into something that I will regret but I'm getting pretty used to that. I've tried for years to find and buy a scale model of the RSV. Die cast, plastic, whatever. There is simply nothing available. So this evening I got on it again and this time I found a custom manufacturer who is interested in doing it for me. I asked him to give me a price based upon quantity, detail, etc. I've seen samples of other projects that he has done and they are fantastic. At this time, I have no idea about the cost. He is supposed to get back to me early next week with all the details. I sent him a lot of pictures of my RSV and he said that he will be reviewing them over the weekend. So....there you have it. Is there any interest?
