If you are heading West to Nelson today from Saskatchewan or further, keep an eye open for my son Alex heading back to BC from the oil fields of Saskatchewan and Manitoba for his mothers birthday. He is driving a white Dodge Dakota with BC plates. Blow his mind honk and wave at him. He knows you will be on the road and keeping a closer eye out for you and all riders. Ride safe, wish I was joining you. Kevin

WHEN REVIEWING THE TEST ELECTRONIC BLACK BOXES IN NEW CARS,( SIMILAR TO AN AIRCRAFT COCKPIT RECORDER) , AN INTERESTING FACT WAS FOUND. 98% OF CANADIANS SAY "OH SH*T" BEFORE GOING IN THE DITCH ON A SNOWY, SLIPPERY ROAD. THE OTHER 2% ARE FROM SASKATCHEWAN AND THEY SAY, "HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS.":beersign: Brian

B.C. vs Saskatchewan Premier of B.C. Gordon Campbell is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out, attacks and kills the dog. #1. The Premier starts to intervene, reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop; the coyote is only doing what is natural. #2. He calls animal control. Animal control captures coyote and spends $200 testing it for diseases and $500 to relocate it. #3. He calls veterinarian. Vet collects dead dog and spends $200 testing it for diseases. #4. Premier goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting small scratch wound bandaged. #5. Running trail gets shut down for 6 months while wildlife services conduct a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is clear of dangerous animals. #6. Premier spends $50,000 of Provincial funds implementing a "coyote awareness" program for residents of the area. #7. BC. Legislature spends $2 million investigating how to better handle rabies and how to possibly eradicate the disease. #8. Premier's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack and for letting the Premier intervene. #9. Cost: $75,000 to train new security agent. #10. PETA protests the coyote relocation and files suit against the Province. Saskatchewan: Premier Brad Wall of Saskatchewan is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the dog. #1. Premier shoots coyote and keeps jogging. #2. Cost: Premier has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow-point cartridge. #3. Crows eat dead coyote. ----------------- Any wonder why B.C. is going broke????

Vridetv was travelling around the last week and just posted a sunset video of Rouleau SK, known better to millions of people as Dog River. The TV show was filmed 30 miles south of Regina for 6 years. The video gives a great idea of just how flat this part of country is and how an average small town in Saskatchewan looks. For all my friends in Eastern Canada and other areas of North America that are having real serious issues with the job layoffs and slowdowns in their jobs, keep in mind that we are still short of workers in Saskatchewan. If you want to come out here and look for work I invite you to stay here at my place for a few days while you look around. We are so short of workers that our Provincial government is sending another group of companies and bureaucrats and HR people to Ontario next month to try to recruit some of the workers hit by the auto sector layoffs and shutdowns. The StatsCan figures show November2008 jobless rate as still dropping from Oct2008.( I think it is well under 4% here in Regina) There is even talk of a charter plane to ferry workers to and from Ontario for the work week and back home for the weekend for some manufacturing and oil sectors. Here is a link to just one website set up for job postings http://www.saskjobs.ca , and if you want any info on anything about Saskatchewan or a company just call or email me i would be happy to try and fill you in. To everyone affected by the slow economy and a job shortage, my thoughts are with you. Brian
