The Salvage of my 91 VR came in at $300.00. The insurance co said that this value is non negotiable. $300.00 seems quite high when I passed up a 90 VR not running with all plastic intact for $500.00 this spring. Go to my profile and look on the right side in my Album for several pictures of the 91 VR. I would be interested in your opinion.

How much does a salvage title hurt a vehicle?? I've been looking for a older truck for a 2nd vehicle. Friend offered 08 Ranger w/44k for $6500. Didn't really want one that new but... This thing was rolled and rebuilt. It looks like a new truck. Super sharp!! Awlsome job on it. About what would it be worth and what does the salvage title hurt later?

My Ventures windshield has a coating that is coming off.I used 2000 grit sand paper to clean it up.It took the coating off but the windshield is quite foggy to look through.Is there any way I can salvage it?I hate to have to buy another one.I was thinking of cutting it down and painting it black.Unless I can clear it up.

Just a FYI. Salvage Direct has a 2004 XVZ Royal Star Venturre listed for auction. Item # 801896. Bike has 35M plus miles, runs, drives and is listed as a stolen recovery. Bike is located in Eldridge, Ia. Current bid is $750 and the auction ends 12-22. I have never bought any thing thru this auction but this could be an easy fix up if it could be bought at the right price.

The insurance company is going to total out my ride. It seems that it falls into the 75% bracket. The only problem I have with it is the insurance company will no longer allow me to purchase collision insurance. With that thought in mind it makes me wonder if I should strip my stuff off and let it go. Has anyone ever purchased a bike with a salvage title?? If so, what are the problems that go along with it? The only thing hurt, other than the handle bars, are the plastics, fairings, saddle bag, trunk, ect.. I hate to let a good ride go for only $1,600 more than they will give me if I keep it... One thing, I have no plans on trading up until Yahama comes out with a EFI system. By that time it may qualify for a museum.

Anyone got any sugestions where I could find a deal on a used starter for an 88 1300? The bikes got nearly 156,000 miles so I don't want to spend $400+ on a new one, or $200+ for a rebuilt. I hope to find a good used one from a salvage yard for about $100+ anyone got any sugestions for a good yard that might have one. or perhaps a self rebuild solution? Needed ASAP JEFF
