i want to thank 2 people on this forum Tazmocycle for the help he gave me fixing my carbs on my 99 RSTD without his help i never would have found my clutch problem and too SkyDoc_17 who helped me find the clutch problem walked me through it and is sending me the disc i need to fix this problem so i can ride my 2nd gen between the 2 of them they have gotten my 2nd gen on the road to a full recovery for many many miles of safe, happy, and fun riding. i also can not leave out the many of you who have responded to my questions as well as others questions and to the aid of other venture riders with valuable information and open invitations to help. Thank You VR.Org members Have a Happy and Safe ride no more of this for me by next week

With the mega storm affecting a lot of the riders on this forum, especially those directly in the path of Sandy, and the extreme cold front that is coming in from the northwest of you, to mix with the rain and wind of Sandy...I just want to wish you all a safe harbor, and hope that everyone comes out of this okay. Please do your best to secure your family and home, and we will all understand if you need to be away from the 'puter for days. Once this has passed, please let us know if you are okay, but more importantly, please let us know if you need any help...anything at all. While I may be on the West Coast now, I have resources that can reach to the East Coast, and can be available to assist those in need on this forum. Just let me know. I wish all of you the best, and hope the best for you and your families.

Just bought an '88 Venture last night. The owner said it was making a clicking sound from the rear. From what I've read it sounds like the axle may need to be aligned? Is it safe to ride it like this? I really would like to take it for a spin. Thank you.

Hey didn't see this asked or ans. anywhere. Need a few opinions. Wife and I are in Asheville rode the Parkway here yesterday and my rear brake overheated. It's an 09 RSV and this has never happened to me before. We had planned to ride the Tail of the Dragon today and I was wanting to know what others thought. Would it be safe? Does them overheating once make it easier to do again? I think once they have colled they should be fine but I'm not 100% sure. Need thoughts

Well ... it was a soggy and cold final day ride home but we made it! Ran into Sailor when we pulled into Hope for gas and apparently we had a nicer ride than he did ... we didn't get hail LOL! Hope everyone else made it home safe! More to come later as Nina puts together a "commentary" and we get some pics uploaded. All in all tho, it was a great time. Now the planning starts for next year.

Take advantage of these nice days and get out and play the Great Venture Scavenger Hunt. I know this has been going on a lot longer than I have been here but it's been fun and only a handful of folks playing. After looking back over the first 55 pages of the post I think its safe to say that the early drama is gone and the rules ? Well I have been here long enough to know what some of you think about rules ? So come bend a few and have a ride.

I am driving down to Fayetteville Tn on Friday from Kankakee. My folks are coming from Edgewood Ky and want to meet me near or south of Louisville. Looking for a safe place to park the bike and trailer. Will return on sunday headed back northbound.
