Does anyone know of a reverse gear kit for 2nd Gen RSVs?

I searched but could not find anything that was first gen related. Can get a steal on a set of tires the rear is the stock 240/90/16 The front that is what I have the question on is a front that is a mt 90b 18 or 130/90-16 Now i have read of these being used on the RSV's with success and the riders liking them but i have heard nothing from the First Gen crowd. Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated. Bags -
Was just poking around looking at pics of 2012 Rocket IIIs .... and boy those saddlebags look familiar ... seems I've seen the almost identical ones on 1999 - 2012 RSVs. ???? Could it be that Triumph is made of parts from other bikes? [ATTACH]64796[/ATTACH]

I was on a PGR mission in Columbia, Ky. yesterday Sat. (5/28/11). Spotted 2 RSV's riding together out of town on hwy. North 55 about 11:20 local time. About 1 hr later they rode back through town past the funeral home we were standing post at. Was it you, were you just passing through or are you local and I haven't met you yet? C.R.

Sorry guys, but they just don't make 'em this purty anymore. I get comments on her almost daily...mostly Hardly riders. I even have 2 guys that are selling their new Ultras, and buying RSVs. I am wondering if anyone would know where or if you can get a single or multi pouch windshield bag for the 2nd gen RSV's? I saw one in a picture on Diamond R's website in the photo gallery, but am unable to locate one on the web. Any ideas???

for those that have an 09 or 10 RSV, what's ballpark of what you paid. not trying to be too nosey, but after the accident, i think i am going to get a brand new one. thanks. ben

Hi, I'm looking at a new '08 RSV at a local dealer. The sales person says that a CB does not come with the bike, but I have been under the impression that the RSVs came with a CB installed. Am I wrong on this? I did see that it has both an am/fm antenna and a CB antenna mounted.

I am getting ready to wire up my scoot for a trailer and this place has everything I needed including an adaptor for the lights which plugs into the light plug under the seat.....suppose to be no splicing. It's made for the RSV's. It is so new that they don't have it listed on the web page yet. I haven't gotten it yet (but it is ordered). It is suppose to be a plug and play sort of deal. Well I was trying to avoid doing this myself but as my bike is a ltttle custom now I just dont want to let anyone just touch it. I was gonna let one fellow do it but he since disappeared. I assume he is afraid of scratching it. Im a good wrench myself so I guess its up to me. Not that I cant do it but I have never done it. First off what tools will I need and also what shims should I get. Id rather buy a kit because I have quite a few RSVs and RSTDs around so Im sure this will be the first but not the last. What gaskets will I need. Most of all where do I get it. I do plan a little phone time with Goose to get the procedure down but Im looking for parts and special tool help. Scotty

Either there are more RSVs on the roads these days, or I am just paying more attention to the bikes I see. Past (going same direction) a canary yellow RSV trike today on hwy 62E in Charlestown, IN today. Seen it before in Jeffersonville on hwy 62. Some day I'll find him and put a card on his trike.

At the risk of sounding stupid how much air pressure is every one running in their shocks on their 2nd generation RSVS? I have not checked my pressure but suspension seems "stiff"? Any help would be appreciated.

Yesterday morning 6/2 I was going to Columbia, MO to be with my dad for surgery. At about 8:45AM I met a red/blk (08?) Venture heading south on 63 out of Columbia. Was it one of you guys? Thats a 4 lane so I didn't see what plate was on the bike. I rarely see other RSV's around here.

Saw 2 RSV's today. One was a midnight and the other was red. They were riding together on 301 N in Riverview Florida about 3:45 pm. Anyone we know??

Saw a couple of RSVs in Kentucky today. Anybody heading north on route 8, River Road, close to Mayport early this afternoon on a silver RSV? Saw the next one heading north on route 27 in Stanford around 4 or 5 PM. A charcoal/gray one.

I saw 2 nice RSV's at Marcus Dairy yesterday (Sunday) parked next to each other. The 2 bikes were the same color ! Who are the owners ? I live in CT and my RSV is also red and black like those 2. Cheers

Last Wednesday 7/16/08 a bunch of us went to Quaker Steak and Ale bike night in Bloomsburg PA. I saw 3 other 2nd gen Ventures besides mine, but no one around them. Was any of these three members here? This was only 50 miles from my location but I don't know of any members around me. I did get to meet with Craig and his wife earlier in the summer. I would like to get a meet and eat going in north east Pa. I ride with a group that likes to ride and EAT, we usually go out to eat once a week. I ride the only Venture but everyone else rides Yamahas, sometime we pick up a stragler on a Harley. Any one else that would like to join in let me know, I will do my best to get a bunch together. Wondering if it was someone from here riding the white and the black 2 Gen RSVs heading toward Alexandria on 28 this afternoon. Wish I had been on a bike instead of in a car.

Anybody ever wonder, or know how many 2nd Generation RSV's Yamaha has built? Saw a post that there were almost 4k members of this club.... tried a Google search, but no luck. Anybody have any idea??

For those of you who went the IMS show in your town, is it me? Or was it a disappointment? Went to the show at the Javits Center in NYC yesterday. I went to look at several different brands, BMW and Victory mainly........I'm glad I went because I was severely disappointed with them, RSVs? I really don't like this years colors. Harley had the most appealling bikes and I'm ot really a Harley guy. Vendors were boring too.
