I had a spare windshield laying around and being so hot outside the other day i decided to shorten it. First off I clamped it to my other windshield 5 inches lower with vice grips and masking tape underneath to prevent scratching.Than I contemplated on how to cut the windshield down without making a mess of it and decided on trying the router. I used a router bit with a bearing on it and set the depth just enough to cut through the one shield and not touch the other. It worked quite well. Surpriseingly it cut the plastic like butter and left a fairly smooth finish. It required just a lite sanding with 220 sandpaper to give the edge a smooth eye appealing finish. After mounting it I realized that the windshield is not quite as wide so there is a small space on either side. This doesnt bother me though. After I was complete I had to try it out. The extra wind is nice, I dont hear the clutch basket whine as much, the bugs now it my face, and there is some wind buffetting around my ears. All in all I am happy with the results. I will be putting my tall one back on in the fall.

I just finished installing my new Lynksys E3200 and now have no use for my old Netgear Range Max WPN824 v2. It works fine but I got tired of rebooting the router now and then. It worked for a couple of years fine but this summer started needing periodic reboots, every couple of months give or take. Rather than letting it clutter up my garage even more, I'm offering it to anybody that wants it...

Anyone ever have issues hooking up your wii/netflix account to the internet wirelessly. When I 1st did it about a year ago the very 1st movie worked flawlessly. Ever since providing I can even connect w/out disconnecting the router power cord and plugging back in, it will literally lose the connection about every 18 minutes. I have tried everything I can think of and have pretty much given up trying to connect to netflix via the wii. I don't think is the router because I don't have this issue w/ the wireless laptop.

I live in Fl so my washer and dryer are in my garage the other day I received a call from the sheriffs dept that water was coming out of my house, I got off work early and rushed home to find the hot water side of the washing machine hose split and sprayed water all throughout half the garage it tripped out the hot water heater and dryer plus all the outlets and had Sheetrock falling from the ceiling and walls. I was able to save the table saw and 1 router but lost my porter cable soft start router and dewalt cordless drill, so if you have a washer you do not shut the water off to I recommend buying the stainless braided hoses unless you want to spend money like me.

I just want to see if there is any interest in this. A friend was over the house to help me with my RSV today. While looking over the bike he thought he might be able to make some polished aluminum wind deflectors for the front forks at a reasonable price. I have some diamond plate too but im not too sure if diamond plate would go over well. Since he has a CNC router its possible to add a design into it too. If there is enough interest we will use my bike as a guinea pig and make a set and post photos. Soooo, any interest?

Anybody else have this? Rumor has it my dsl provider will impose a 5GB per month usage cap starting in December or January. That doesn't sound like much bandwidth to me considering I have 5 computers ( wife and kids ) using the service. Someone is usually online 24/7. I have a speedstream 6520 router. My question is how can I monitor my bandwidth usage just to know what my monthly activity is before a suprise bill arrives later?:mo money:
