how many folks on this site have a strat, roadliner, roadstar, or warrior. i was thinking if there are enough of us we could get don to start a tech section for them, like we did on the goldwing, since all four are close to being the same.

Hello all! :-) Well... I think I will be taking the plunge but I still have cold feet about this one.. :-( My 2006 Roadliner S 1900 has been a great machine for me... Nice large cruiser that turns quite a few heads wherever she goes.... That v-twin 1900 has so much low end it pulls like a freight train... Fuel-injected, belt drive.. I love that bike... However, around 18000 miles a year on bikes, I have been replacing tires and more tires on my Roadliner... and after about 400 miles in the saddle (converted to a Mustang with backrest), it just isn't comfortable anymore... I really cannot find anything bad in the reviews or in the forums that tell me I would be making a bad choice going to a Venture.... Can someone help 'push me over the edge'?? Thanks!

Hi All Wanted to thank all of you for the excellent posts on venturerider.org. I recently traded a midnight roadliner for an 07 venture. With slightly less than 600 miles, I swapped out the stock bridgestones for the avon venoms (mt90 up front). I'm using 42 up front, and 46 in the back. Wow, what a difference. In addition, I swapped out all of the stock lamps, and replaced them with brighter bulbs (headlight, flashers, taillight). Yeah, you can replace the headlamp without splitting the fairing. A buddy of mine helped me cut the windshield down, and that came out perfect, too. I changed out all of the fluids with mobil 1 synthetic. I've had great results with mobil 1 in the past, and the venture is no exception. What a smooth machine. And comfy too. To top it off, I waxed my rsv with collinite (http://www.colliniteautomotive.com/), and the blue really shows off its flake... If you haven't tried this wax yet, do so. A can lasts forever, almost. Definitely put it on when your vehicles finish is cool... Getting a venture is going against the grain for some, especially coming off of a roadliner. I could never have afforded to make the roadliner as cozy as the rsv, considering the numerous creature comforts the rsv comes with in stock form. Passing lamps and a backrest are next... Any suggestions?

Does anyone here have the stratoliner or roadliner? Would like to pick your brain.

Howdy. I'm ready to spend the cabbage and make my roadliner more tour-worthy. Having second thoughts, as there are great deals on the venture and rstd around... Has anyone switched over, or own both. You're feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

I am considering an 07 rstd. I owned an 05, and traded it for a roadliner. I love the roadliner for what it is, but miss the rstd, and will probably buy another one. My question is, are the new ones coming with the I basket to squelch the whine/chirp that is so common? I changed the basket on my 05 with fair results, but do not want to go thru the hassel over again on another one. My dealer was great, and took care of it no problem, but it is still a hassel. Its to cold now to test ride the 07, and a ride will tell the story. Just wondering what you all know about this. If the 07 bikes are still chirping, someone at Yamaha needs an AXX-KICKING!!!!
