Kenneth Bruce was driving home with his wife and infant in the car around 7:30 p.m. Jan. 3, when the driver of a black Honda motorcycle became aggressive, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office report. Police said Paul Rieger Jr., 50, came speeding up behind the Bruce's car, pulled up next to it and tried forcing it off the road. Bruce told police when he stopped at the stop sign at Eastport and Pulaski roads, Rieger began driving circles around the car, eventually stopping in front of their vehicle. Rieger took off his helmet, ran to the driver's side door and tried to open it. When it wouldn't open, he began banging on the window, yelling at Bruce. Bruce's wife called police. They left the scene, driving around Rieger. Once again, Rieger began following them. When they reached the intersection of Faye and Joel roads, Rieger turned and drove away, but not before Bruce was able to get a tag number and description. Police ran the tag, and found that the motorcycle was registered to Rieger at his home. When police arrived there, Rieger refused to answer any questions about the incident and told police to leave. A struggle began between police and Rieger. Police had to Taser Rieger twice. He was eventually arrested and charged with aggravated assault and resisting and officer. ©2010 First Coast News.
