Charlene and I are contemplating getting rid of both bikes, I hate getting rid of the 83, but she doesnt believe she can ride it for any great distance, so we are thinking getting a trike, but I have to settle for having only 1 bike and she thinks she can ride longer and be more comfortable on the trike, the only thing is price. It will likely have to be a nice used one, I dont think I can get more than 7500.00 to 8000.00 for both bikes total. So if anyone sees or knows of one up for sale please let me know. I will be looking at Ebay and CL in the meantime.

I have a small tree growing up through the deck attached to my house. This deck is only a little bit above the ground, so I can't get underneath it to get to it. The only way I see to get anywhere near it is to remove some of the deck boards and reach down. Anybody have any idea how I can get rid of it? Frank D.

a 1500 radio antenna that screws to the base. I don't need the base just the part that screws into it the whip part. If anyone has an extra they want to get rid of let me know and will make a deal. Joe

As some of you know that I am in the middle of a HO Stator up-grade and today I was prepping the Stator Wires to Solder, But my thought was why did Yamaha place this Connetor in the most DIRTY Weatherd, Oily, Messy Spot on the bike ?.. I just can not get over how much grime and dirt was ON and IN the Connector when I cut it off. There is no way I would ever put a conneter back into that spot agian... If I knew this in the past I would have already got rid of the connector on the stock stator and hard wired it. what a MESS. This has to wreck havic on the charging system I would think. maybe Goose can chime in about this? I also am replacing the R/R as well and that connect was also very dirty. not as bad though. Jeff

Yep. Title says it. I've got my first bike. First thing to do is change all the fluids, get new tires and for the Love of Larry, I gotta get rid of those damn flame mirrors. I can't see diddly through 'em. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/GAWildKat/Volusia%20Intruder/Volusia-HDR.jpg Here's the best photo I have of it so far. I'm kicking around the idea of getting a BMW or GW, and while doing some research, I have come across several comments about front end problems with the GW (besides the ones on this site). There have been several people make comments about front end wobble at speeds between 35 and 50 MPH. One of my fellow co-workers has an 07 GW with front end wobble that he can't get rid of. He's changed tires a couple times and has took his complaint to the dealer to no avail. Didn't know this to be a common problem with the GW. Do any of ya have the front end wobble on your GWs? Glenn

Don't want to pull a trailer(yet) but would love to place a larger cooler, in the center and lower on my bike as they can be heavy, not to mention leaky," oh well I guess I did mention that huh?". Question(s) is, Where is the best place to buy a receiver and/or does anyone want to get rid of theirs? Do they come with wiring for turn signal, hazard, stop and "Backup" lights?

Other than the obvious things, Fuel filter, air filters, plugs... Is there any thing that I should look at for replacement, while I will have the bike down to the frame here in a couple of weeks ( other than more time to spend on it and money, cooler weather ) I only need tips/hints , suggestions for the front from the side covers forward... The rear I have a good grasp on,,, getting rid of it....... Any thing that I really should do before I strip it down. Once I get every thing off for paint it pretty much becomes a door stop for a couple of weeks........

A backrest for a RSTD they want to get rid of or where I might find one? Joe

My 2006 RSTD did not come with a quick detach backrest. I bought it used and the previous owner put a trunk on it. It anyone should happen to have one they want to get rid of I would be interested in puchasing it. Thanks Tarl

My bike seems to have developed a "buzzing" in the grips that wants to put my fingertips to sleep. I'm getting the "needles in the fingertips" after an hour or so on the bike. I like the stock grips, but will go after market on them if I have to to get rid of this buzzing. Any ideas about how to get rid of it?

Just listed goldwing trike (It has a cassette deck!)
mountainhorsega posted a topic in Watering Hole
Hope you don't mind us drawing attention to it here in the watering hole but fear it may not be noticed in the "other bikes section" - Just listed in the classifieds. 93 goldwing trike. I know - It's not a venture but maybe someone here knows someone that wants a wing. 15oo/6. It's got a roadsmith trike kit - with easy steer. My wife needs to get rid of it to get a work truck (We are keeping the TD). Check out the classified and see if you have any questions. -
Does anyone happen to have stock mufflers lying around. More than willing to pay a price and shipping for them. Not quite sure if I want to get rid of the Baron's for good yet, but want to try stock again since it has been so long. Thanks for the help.

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I can't find it. Is it possible to dis-connect the cassette player from an '89 VR and still have the radio work? I sure would like to get rid of the cassette player as it doesn't work and don't want to fix it. Would love to add an MP3 player in its place. Any comments or suggestions?

Anybody have any good athletes foot cures? I'm guessing that I'm not the only one here who gets sweaty feet in the boots we wear or go camping and shower in public showers. So I'm betting I'm not the only one with this problem. But I've had it all summer. I can almost get rid of it, but then it comes back. I've used the Compound foot powder all summer and Tinactin cream. I've gotten it before but was able to get rid of it with a good scrubbing in the shower or bath. But not this year.

Today I removed the trunk, etc from my RSV. Yamahamer was a big help getting me headed down the right path. I like the looks and REALLY like the way it handles now. Only electronics I lost was the CB which I don't use anyway. All in all I'm happy with the way it turned out. Now to figure how to get rid of the wires and brackets under the seat so I can make it a solo bike like I had my RSTD. Thanks Mark for guidance, you saved me a lot of headache.

OK I just got done sorting out some parts and here's what I'm trying to get rid of next. I have 2 left mirrors in fair condition, one has rashed chrome, the other has "whited out" reflective surfaces around the edge of the mirror. Both are serviceable and better thsn no mirror at all. $5 each to cover the flat rate shipping to US. I also have a couple of MK1 front fairing frames in good shape. Pay shipping or pick up and they are yours. I also have 2 pair of stock horns. Pay shipping, probably $5 flat rate box will work. 3 pair of MK1 passenger grab rails in good shape, rust free. Pay shipping. I have a ton of other parts I will be getting rid of over the winter. If there is something specific you are looking for PM me...
