I know some retailers have the new Zumo 660. Most that have them in stock are asking retail $799.99. I found several stores with the 660 listed for around $650 but not shipping till July. I hate to pay the hefty price tag of over $600 for this thing but...I sure hate to pay the full retail of 799.99. Where is a good deal on a Zumo 660 NOW without paying that gosh awful full retail price and some even make you pay shipping. Help! Wife is gonna kill me if I sink whats left of my retirement into a Zumo 660.

Stopped by Honda of Jax today to buy a tube of moly 60 paste. They had only one left and it was resealed sloppily with tape, the cap covering the tube was askew and there was grease marks on the tube. I asked if they had any more in the back as I know this is a standard ploy to only display something they want to get rid of before they put out the good stuff. They said no. One of the mechanics came over and said that sometimes they might run out of their stock in the rear and might open up a tube and take a "dab" from it then reseal it. Told them that i wasnt too comfy paying full retail (15.99) for an open and obviously used package. They just shrugged their sholders and I walked out. Now im pretty sure that there was nothing wrong with the grease itself, but I sure didnt like the way the dealers retail staff handles their product and customers. Sorry guys, but im no idiot.

Trying to price parts on 86 VR, any advice appreciated. My thoughts on it here, feel free to punch holes in my theory. I truly don't know what to price these parts at, first time I have ever parted one out. I might be wrong and if I am I'd welcome some constructive criticisim. My thought is that since most of these parts are no longer available as OEM that the parts that are mint or near mint (my coin collecting vernacular coming out) should be worth at a minnimum half of what retail prices were when they were available. Some of the plastic parts, the ones that are most likely the rarest in top condition should by demand bring a higher price than what retail used to be. Based on those thoughts I think I should ask somewhere in the vicinity of 50% of retail for mint/near mint and adjust percentage down from there based on condition issues. Also this not being how I put bread on the table and having bought used parts myself and getting burnt occasionally I will gaurantee any mechanical or electrical parts to function and function properly, unless stated by me that function of the part is unknown and being sold as/is, money back gaurantee after part is returned minus shipping cost if any. If I would have realized how tough this would be I would have done more research before I started. I mistakenly thought I could ask folks to offer a fair price and for the most part they would. I could get more at the scrap yard than some offered as fair. There have been a couple of fair offers not all are bad. Thanks, Bull
