My class has an e-1 error. When the key is turned to acc there is no sound from the system. I used another none good panel with the same results. Any ideas where to start or any known issues that cause this code?

IM considering doing the VMAX rear upgrade. Those who have already done it, are you happy with the results?

Ok , this all started when I put on my R-Mark hitch, the hitch by the way was shipped quickly, has very good instructions and looks awesome. A buddy stopped over to look at the hitch and said I should make a flag holder that to slip in the hitch. We started talking and as things go pieces were cut, we went and used a welder and anyways here is the results . . . I realize this ain't that pretty but I rode from Kankakee to the South Side Irish Parade. Clipped on Ole Glory and it worked very well.

Ok I've lost my list of favorite online vendors when my pc had to be replaced a couple months back. Who do ya all recommend. I'm looking for OEM parts. Checked the local dealer with poor results on pricing besides the fact I still have to order all my items. That just sucks so may as well order all I need online anyhow. Had already checked Yamahapartshouse.com. Thanks in advance, Larry

Some of you might appreciate this. Machinist's Workshop magazine tested penetrants for break out torque on rusted nuts. This was specifically addressed to rusted, other material results may vary The results are below, as forwarded by an ex-student and professional machinist, Bud Baker. They arranged a subjective test of all the popular penetrants with the control being the torque required to remove the nut from a "scientifically rusted" environment. Penetrating oil ..... Average load None ...................... 516 pounds WD-40 ................... 238 pounds PB Blaster ............... 214 pounds Liquid Wrench ......... 127 pounds Kano Kroil .............. 106 pounds ATF-Acetone mix.......53 pounds The ATF-Acetone mix was a "home brew" mix of 50 - 50 automatic transmission fluid and acetone. Note the "home brew" was better than any commercial product in this one particular test. Our local machinist group mixed up a batch and we all now use it with equally good results. Note also that "Liquid Wrench" is about as good as "Kroil" for about 20% of the price. Somtimes grandpa's solution still holds water...

This morning, from a cave somewhere in Pakistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammed Omar, warned the United States and Canada that if military action against Iraq and Afghanistan continues, Taliban authorities will cut off America and Canada's supply of convenience store managers. And if this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Visa, Bell and Rogers customer service reps. It's getting ugly folks, real ugly.

Well with a little guidance from Art I managed to sync my carbs today. Here's my results. 1) No more popping at idle or at deceleration. 2) Less gas fumes at idle. 3) Much, Much smoother accelerating and at highway speed. Before it had a vibration through the bars and the seat. I can't say it's any quicker, maybe just alittle. All and all the carb gauges are right up there as one of the best tools I've ever brought and I was amazed how easy it was once I learned how to use the gauges.

Being a new (to me) 06 RSTD owner, was wondering how others handle traveling with the bikes quick release components. Wife and I have taken several overnight trips recently, and we always pull the windshield and backrest at the end of the day and take to our room. No biggee really except we're pretty spontaneous which usually results in an upstairs room. The dang organized folks get the first level. Anyone have theft problems with these items when on the road or public parked? Any creative locking solutions?

Ran 20-50 dino oil in their older motor (79,000 plus) on a first gen. If you have what were the results? The weather is freakin hot down here, I don't think the 10-40 syn is cutting it.

I posted the results of Billy Lanes trial. I had no idea this was controversial. I was merely informing everyone of what the results were. If I did something wrong then I am truly sorry. I will no longer post anything on the site. I will continue to be in the Chatroom and I will continue to welcome new members. As far as posting any thing other than that, it will not happen from me. Had both knees scanned last Wednesday. Results show I have a degenerative joint disease. I was hoping it was something they could fix. Oh well I hope my sinus surgery goes better on the 22nd.

decided to put this here instead of the middle of the watering hole....... got a call this morning they finally got dna results back........ what they found was something called p3 it is not semen but found in semen........and they didnt get a match..... prosecutors office thinks there may have been a mistake or tests werent right....where else would this have come from??? there are 2 labs here......one is kansas city crime lab and the other state highway patrol.......so they are going to send to send to other lab and get it retested... we are only a month away from the pretrial hearings starting so hopefully they get some fast turn around this time..... I was almost devastated after waiting all this time and then not getting a match on him. so i guess we wait some more and hope for better results this time.... they assured me this wouldnt hurt our case because of his statement and the other evidence.... this really depressed me.......i was so sure we would get some positive results to help put this slime away without question

I have nitrogen in all of my vehicle tires and like how long it lasts. Has anyone ever put it in their scoot tires? Curious as to whether or not to expect the same results.

I went in today for the PET scan which will let us, the Dr. and I, know if there are any live cancer cells left after the chemo and the radiation. If not then the surgery will be scheduled for the end of the year hopefully and this thing will be behind me. The Dr. will get the results Wed., and I have a 9:00 A.M. appointment with him to get the results also. I am asking for prayers that there will be nothing on the scan and everything is good. Don H.

OK, y'all, I'm looking for results here. Who out there has drilled holes in their VR airbox, and what were the results? How big and how many holes? Did you track mileage? Power impressions? Intake noise impressions? Did you leave it or put it back (tape over the holes)? Any other airbox mods? I know the bike won't run w/o the airbox with the stock carbs. I know some dealers have made a standard practice of certain holes a certain way. I'm asking for YOUR results. I'm working on mine which I'll add soon. Any takers? Jeremy

OK folks, I've heard a lot of complaints here about the search function on this forum. I have made a change that we can try out. The option to use the "Google" search in the drop down menu actually works very well. Just use that field and select "www.venturerider" and you will usually get good results. HOWEVER, I have also added Boolean search capabilities to the regular search. Some won't know what that is so let me give a simple example. If you enter 1999 RSV in the search box, it will search the site for every instance of 1999 and every instance of RSV. With Boolean enabled, you can use quotation marks around the term to better isolate the results. In other words, you would type "1999 RSV" in the box and now it will search for that exact term instead of any instance of either word. For those of you who are more advanced with this stuff: This permission allows Boolean searches, which includes the usage of AND, OR, and NOT to limit results. This option can be server intensive for very large forums so its usage is cautioned.

Hello Guys Is there a center stand out there that will fit a 2004 RSV? I have looked some on the net with no results. I know if there is one somewhere you guys will know about it. Thanks

I'm about ready to dump a bottle of Ride On in the Avon on the front of the '83. My question is... Should I remove all the balancing weights and let Ride on do it's balancing act, or leave the weights on and probably get the same results?? It should work either way, but I thought I'd ask your opinion....
