Howdy all, I seem to remember a post about certain Gold Wing passenger arm rests that fit a First Gen MK 1. I can not find it now. Does anyone remember this or have any info an the idea? I think Doreen would like to have a set on the bike. I have seen a couple of GW sets on ebay, but I don't know if they would fit. Thanks, Dave

i have a very nice passenger backrest and the passenger arm rests from my 87 venture ( the ones that mount in the trunk) . i believe the recling parts are all with it as well... i'd like to donate these to someone's cause. they are the brown vinyl ones. pm me if interested. i'd just want a few bucks to cover the shipping. i wanted black and got these and it wasn't worth returning them.

well as i move forward will getting my bike roadworthy i'm researching seat improvements for my wife and i. i've been searching all over the site and see some info, but i thought i just start a thread to streamline the ideas. i have the 83 bike and it seems the rear seat is narrower than say some of the newer ventures. will the seats from the 86 1300 fit onto my 83 1200?? will they be more comfortable?? the rear seat looks like its wider and i think that will help my wife. i'm hoping to run 500 mile days with her and want to make it as nice as possible for her. i'm also interested in a back rest for myself and some kind of arm rests for the rear. let me know what works. i'm hoping to find some more economical comfort versions before i'd go all out russel day if you follow, but let me know what you guys think will help. i've seen some of the higher back rests on the mkII with little arm supports... will they fit onto my trunk or do i need the whole trunk and would that fit onto my first gen? thanks

I've got a set of Markland foot rests that bolt onto the front crash bar. They just don't seem to allow me to stretch out as much as I would like. Is there any type of extension you can get or if I have to buy a different model, can anybody direct me to a REASONABLEY PRICED alternative? I don't want to spend $200 for foot rests! EDITED TO SHOW PICS OF FOOTRESTS I HAVE, AND WINDSHEILD CHROME I"M LOOKING FOR!

I'm wondering if there is a SC Venture owner with passenger arm rests installed that would be willing to meet up with me, so I can check out your arm rests? Mainly have my nine year old passenger check them out and see if she can even reach the rests? I've looked at many variations of passenger arm rests, my dilemma is that they seem to sit way forward of where her arms would comfortably reach, which would defeat the purpose of me funding a set. The days are warming up and are getting longer, so we could meet pretty much meet up with you anywhere in our state.

Last week i had wrote stating i bought some of those yamaha branded highway foot pegs for our bike & was asked to let ya'll know how i liked them. with my size 8 shoe/boot & a short (28") inseam, the pegs are great for me. i have them angled inward and my boots fit in the stirrup section quite nicely while my heel rests on the floorboard. if i need to stretch some to catch a bit more breeze or find a different foot placement, the spike end of the peg rests nicely in the middle of the ball of the foot. i tend to shuffle around so i am always moving from floor board to peg. others who are larger in stature wished me luck with these & i am satisfied with them. I can see where a larger boot print and longer legs would not like these pegs. a big plus is that they do look great on the bike in replacement of the universal foot pegs that came on the bike. thanks for all the input & from the differences in pricing stated in the previous post, i only paid 5 bucks more than necessary. of the other shopping blunders i have experienced - 5 bucks was a bargain. Hi everyone, I am am looking for a setup to put armrests on a 99 RoadStar. My brother in laws wife does not feel secure with just the grab rails, she is short and really has a hard time reaching them. I am curious if the armrests from a first generation could some how be rigged up to do the job. I did see a post here on putting rests on an RSV but that wouldn't work in this case. Anyone have any ideas? thanks Josh

Anyone added the heel rests to their Kuryakyn highway pegs or other pegs? Wondered if some models work better than others and if the heel rest really does help make those long trips more comfortable? Any pictures of these work? Would a highway floor board work better than a peg with a heel rest ? Appreciate all feedback!

I was called by my local Yamaha Shop and asked if I'd like to do a 2 hour, sit down with the Yamaha Venture Makers, to talk about what WE think of the bike, and is there room for improvement. Please don't attack me with responces. But generally, I guess my questions would be for the newer Ventures 2nd Gen. What do you fell would improve the buying market for this bike? I'm meeting with them in two weeks. I have the floor for 20 minutes. so help me out with the question. I for one would like more factory access. Light bars, Back rests, passanger arm rests. CD player, upgraded speakers. windsheilds with vents I'm going to talk to them about the drive shaft issues.

I'm looking for Passenger seat arm rests for my 2008 Royal Star Venture. Any help would be appreciated. They don't have to be cheapest or anything, just something good. Have a nice ride and keep an eye on tire pressures!

Diamond R is no longer carring the passenger tour mug unless you have the arm rests. What is everyone using for a drink holder for the real passenger?
