Does anybody have an OBD 1 scanner that I can borrow? I'm looking for one that will read all of the outputs from the sensors. I've got a 1993 Olds. Silhouette that goes lean when you apply more than 1/3 throttle. I've checked the fuel pressure, the mass air flow sensor and a bunch of different things but everything seems to be good. I rented a $400 scanner from O'Reilys, but it only reads error codes on OBD 1 and it seems to have a problem doing that correctly. I need to watch all of the sensor outputs and see if I can see what's happening. Thanks, Frank D.

Here are the pics from my vacation last week. I just got back from a week in British Columbia in and around the Kelowna and Okanagon areas. It was great, in the mid 30's most days (90's f) but there was quite a bit of smoke around from the fires in the area as it has been so dry. We visited wineries and spent most of the time at friends place just being beach bums. We rented a Street Glide for a day to see the area and I just hated it, slow,... soft, spongy forks, and very small seating area for Deb and I. It did have a great stereo though. http://picasaweb.google.ca/friesman1/LakeKalkamalkaBC Brian

I had to go to Hawaii and Alaska recently for business (yea, rough job). In both places I had a very pleasant rental experience and wanted to recommend the places in case any of you get the chance to go there. Hawaii - In Honolulu the rental company I used was Big Kahuna Rentals http://www.bigkahunarentals.com. In the cruiser style they had some Harleys and a couple of smaller Honda Shadows. I rented a 750 Shadow, it was perfect for the island, after all there ain't a whole lot of miles there. Alaska - In Anchorage I used Alaska Rider http://www.akrider.com. Their cruisers were all Harleys. I rented a KLR 650 dual sport for my off day, first time on a dual sport, but then again I did get on some roads I would not have wanted to be on with the Venture.
