Don't know what has happened over the past few days but I guess it's time for a reminder about the few rules that we have here. NO POLITICS NO PORNOGRAPHY NO PERSON ATTACKS NO RELIGIOUS DEBATE Those are the main ones. I have said it before but it doesn't hurt to repeat it. This is a family oriented site. It is hard to rate such things but I would say that if used a movie type rating, "PG" is probably where it would fall. This site is based on friendships and the shared passion for motorcycles. It is about what unites us, NOT those things that might tear us apart. I realize that there are things going on it the world that are of interest to many of us. There are things that we should be able to discuss on a technical basis without turning it into a political debate. The discussion on fracking is one of those things. So far, it has remained fairly technical and non-political but it has the potential of going south. If that happens, it will be deleted. There was another thread about Cuba. That is almost a purely political topic and has been deleted. Thanks

This is just a reminder for some and a note to our many newer members that this is a PG rated site. Please remember that when you are posting your jokes. Some lately have been borderline. Have fun but please remember the few rules that we have here. PG rated, no racial slurs, etc. You are a GREAT group and this post is not aimed at anyone in particular. Just a general reminder. Thanks

After a couple of incidents in the last couple of weeks, one involving a friend of mine, I thought I'd throw this out as a reminder of the rules and standards involving the other end of the motorcyling world. The Clubs. This is most certainly not intended as a post to incite arguments of right or wrong or who has what rights to do what. It's just a reminder that another part of the motorcycle social structure is different from what most are used to. But in my opinion, everyone of us needs to be aware of the rules they live by. We all expect a certain amount of respect, some demand it. The lack of respect to a club or even a single member has a price and it's not cheap. My friend found out the hard way. He's learning. He was not trying to cause problems and had no idea that he was causing one with his behavior. But with that said, this is worth a read for those unfamiliar with club rules and how to respond to club members and interact with them. Might save someone from getting schooled..... the hard way. http://www.rcvsmc.net/id4.html Just info. Nothing more. Mike

Found this in a dealers newsletter I received this morning. I'm sure these recalls may have been mentioned before but want to put it out there as a reminder. http://www.psnnewsletter.com/images/clients/570/Safty%20Notice%20Word%20D_575.jpg

I just got this from our church office staff. I either drive or ride this road daily. It's a really straight stretch of highway with a 50 mph limit. It's a shame to hear about these things, but when we do it should always remind us of how fleeting life can be. Not just a reminder for when we are on our bikes, but every moment should count. May God bless you and keep you safe. The doctor's office where this occured is right at the entrance to our church. Everyone: I just wanted to let you know that the church office will be closed this morning. At about 7 this morning there was a fatal motorcycle accident in front of the doctors office. The road is currently closed and we do not know how long it will take to open it back up. Please pray for the family of the person killed. As soon as we are able to get in to the church, we will let you know. If you need to get a hold of me in an emergency, you can still e-mail me at the church’s email address or this one or you can call my cell phone at Thanks, Kris

Now ... I thought long and hard about whether to post this or nor, given what happened to Tom Patterson last week - if I offend anyone, especially, the Patterson family, please let it be known that the intent was totally the opposite - it was to remind us all of how vulnerable we are when we are on our iron horses. The link attached should be a sobering reminder that when we are on two wheels we need to be fully aware of everything and everyone around us. If we aren't, chances are that nobody else will be looking out for us. http://www.livevideo.com/video/landing/E737D6A3377A4C66A864957B8E39BE3E/requiem-for-a-biker.aspx The video is fairly long (12+ minutes) and does have some graphic scenes.
