While I was working at the Speedway this weekend I met a guy who offered me an 86 Venture that he bought from a lady whose husband died. It had sat since 1996 so he took the tank off and had it lined and installed new tires. The carbs are off and he assumes they need to be gone through. He wants to move on to another project and I can get it for a good price. I don't do carbs. I had carbs redone on the Cavalcade I flipped. Does anyone on this forum rebuild carbs and what can I expect to pay. I really don't need another project as I want to finish up my 65 F100 but this one is tempting me!!!!

Ditched chopped up HD fairing and ordered a RS fairing from http://www.recklessmotorcycles.com. It fit perfectly with a homemade mount. Its going to get redone too but it works for now. http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=34.808488,-77.362685&zoom=14&markers=34.808488,-77.362685&size=400x300&sensor=true

Help, please. How in the heck do you get to the Member Vendor threads. I'm trying to get to Rick Butler and Carbon 1 's ads and contact info. I'm apparently not doing something right, I guess. I'd like to get my seat redone and a couple of things from Carbon 1. Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Steve

Their site seems to be down so I can't contact them to inquire about issues I am having with their light system (under the saddle bags).. a bunch of the wiring had to be redone as the crimping wasn't complete on one side requiring me to undo most of it and getting it redone properly.. tres odd. Though the lights looks great and give an additional splash of "see me lights", I'm wondering how problematic these will be after a full season of in the rain, road grime and heavy road bumps and vibes.. I have RK pipes on my bike and already had to make a lot of adjustments to get them to clear the bottom of the lights.. If you have these on your bike and can shed some light on your experiences with them, I'd greatly appreciate it.. A lot of extra time spent re-wiring them sorta makes me leery on how well they will hold up to the test of time.. cheers

Hello to all and a big thank you in advance for the replies to my questions. I have an 84 venture royale and need to have the seat reapolstered so I am wondering, is the seat so comfortable due to the ergonomics of the seat or the cushioning:icon_smile_question So when I have er redone should I replace the cushioning as well and if so what cushioning should be used:icon_smile_question Thanks again and keep the rubber on the road. Michael
