Hey guys, I just purchased an 05 RSTD and have some questions. I'm wanting to go the bagger route. Here are the questions: What is the largest rim I can put on the front stock? I've seen people with 21" wheels, but I think they were ventures. I'm looking to put a 23" wheel on. Which brings me to my next question.. Does anyone make a raked triple for an 05 RSTD? I've only been able to find them for 01's and lower. Will the rear fenders that Baddad sells for the Road Star bolt on to the RSTD? If I switch to K&N pod filters and have exhaust should I goto a stage 2 jet kit? I have a batwing on the bike now, but I'm thinking I want to switch to a Road Glide front fairing. There's a guy over at roadstarclinic that sells the brackets for the swap, but their site won't let me register there to buy one from him. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy them from? Thank you in advance for any help you're able to provide!

I have installed a Tow Pak trike kit on my "99" RSV and have momentary steering "shakes", usually when not missing a bump in the road, and am wondering if one of those rake kits would help reduce this. I have read that Harrigan makes a kit for their conversions but don't know if they would work with a Tow Pak. Does anyone know of any other suppliers of rake kits if the Harrigan kit doesn't work? Does any one have any good or bad experiences with rake kits?

well i went and done it now.. while putting away Dianne,s bike. after being a good boy and cleaning the garage. i put a rake up in the rafters well i guess i didnt get it up there good enough?? i placed both bikes in the garage with hers right under that damn rake.. i closed the garage door and heard a crash!!! so i went back in the side door and there it was rake hit her gas tank. nice. scratch and about a quarter size dent..... so how much will a body shop charge me to paint and fix the dent? its silver in color if that makes any differance? my mistake i have to man up to it... well since shes still up in north dakota her arms cant reach that far to smack me upside the head.. that will teach her to leave me .. almost have her talked into not staying up there... she hates them 12 to 14 hr shifts. but loves being with her mom.. just hope i can that tank painted for under $100 bucks i hope? or as close to that amount as possible..

Not sure why Hannigan does not have the Dealers or Hannigan them self's add this when doing the Rake Install . I have found that there is no way to adjust my headlight to to proper angle after the the rake has been added. After the rake kit is installed (my) headlight wants to shoot up into the sky. I finely got around to doing this as one of my winter projects this year. Here is my fix. The Picture below are standing in front of the bike, So I will refer the left and right in that manner. Picture (1) is both left and right NOTE: You will also need longer bolts to do this project. those should be laying around in a bag of nuts and bolts you got back from them removing all your other stuff. Picture (2) is left - with a spacer that is 2.25 thick and a washer of .065 Picture (3) is right - - with a spacer that is 3.00 thick and a washer of .065 I did this mod a while back but never got around to testing it, I did this AM while it was still dark outside with the VRtech Headlight Adjustment write-up. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1064 You will still be able to use the knob to fine tune your adjustments as well. My Findings where it was pretty much dead on, I also did my settings with the light on low beam to start with. then tested it with the high beam on. NOTE:: you will also have to re-adjust your running lights as well if you already have them installed. I think if you get close to my sizes it will still work or get you close. Any Questions feel free to email me. Jeff

The dealer that did my Hannigan trike used a rake of 4 1/2 degrees.Hannigan, in Murray Ky, uses a rake of 6 degrees. Does the 1 1/2 degrees make a difference in the steering. All trikers chime in.
