OK, here's the scenario - My neighbor won 2 day rentals (that is qty 2 of a 1 day rental) from a local HD dealership. She doesn't ride nor does her husband, family, etc. She offered them to me. I have to use them this weekend or they expire. What to do? 1) As some of you know - I am a long distance rider. Should I go for BBQ? In Kansas City (1180 miles round trip). 2) Ask a friend to putt around the state for the day (paging Scooter Bob, Scooter Bob to the white courtesy phone)? 3) Should I just don some pirate wear, apply fake tattoos, put my wife in a tubetop, and go bar hopping? Decisions, decisions. RR

Went camping this weekend with Dokon and Missy. We were trying out a new place right across the street from Deadwood. First off this is a really new place and nobody was there but us. Bathrooms are great they also have a laundry room. Cost? How's $15 to tent camp per night? I'm not sure how much it is for RV's I think it's around 35 or 45 a night. The man that owns it is really nice he came by when we got there and again when we were leaving to chat. They do have a pool but it is extra to use it I think like $6. Not unreasonable since the camping rates are so cheap. Plus they do have a small camp store. So you will see pics of us all camping, across the street eating at Deadwood, playing putt putt then ADC and his wife and son Josh stopped and we all had ice cream. Plus I posted pics of the campground mostly the bathroom. Talk about quiet. Once Deadwood shuts down for the night that's it. Will give us some more options when we have meets there for those who are willing to camp. There are no cabins. Margaret

I am new to this forum as well as the 2003 royal star venture that i just bought. I have searched all around this forum but haven't found the exact problem that i may be having. I say "may" because i'm not sure if this is the way this bike is supposed to sound and perform. This bike has 3200 miles on it and looks brand new so i picked it up for a deal. I am used to riding v-twins like my raider. I trailered this bike back home and I believe the previous owner hasen't ridden it for a few months. When I started it, it cranked right up and idled what sounded a bit rough but not bad, when i rev it while in neutral it sounds nice and smooth but throttle response is a bit bad. The real problem seems to be when the bike is under load, when i take off in first gear the smooth sound turns into a sort of a - putt putt putt putt sound like it may be missing, it also seems to surge a bit at the top of each gear. this thing seems to have very little power at top gear, when i twist the throttle at 60 mph it is slow to 70 or 80 mph, even if i downshift to 4th it makes noise but doesn't seem to go anywhere. I also get small backfires while downshifting and letting off of throttle, not bad, but i can hear them. I'm very accustomed to my raider which is very snappy at any gear, maybe its just me but there seems to be a problem.

Yamaha's TW-200 anybody ever ride or see one. It might make a good putt putt for to and from the camp. 75 mpg fat tires and all. Small enough for MamaMo to ride and my 10 year old son is as tall as she is. I been looking for one just curious for now. Lots of back woods roads to explore from my camp.
