I sure hope that the eBay buyer protection plan works. I bought these [ame=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221078918507]2 pcs high mount 2 wire RED LED strip 3rd brake light with 28 leds inside each | eBay[/ame] Got it in the mail and thee is only one in the package, Seller claims the auction is for 1 bar but he has 2 available. I read it as the auction is for 2 bars and that is all he has. The seller is also trying to hang his hat on it being advertised "as is no returns". Please take a look at the ad, am I reading it wrong or the seller? I did pay with a CC thru PP and it has eBay buyer protection so I should be covered from something. I do not think the seller really wants a bad feedback over such a small amount.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help! This is so wrong in so many ways! The 4 gallon minimum is their answer to preventing damage to your motorcycle from E15 fuel! WTH? Read the complete report if you can stand it... "PICKERINGTON, OH – August 8, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will require all consumers to buy at least four gallons of gasoline from certain gas pumps after the new E15 ethanol-gasoline blend is introduced into the market, the American Motorcyclist Association reports." link

Hey all! I'm a prospective Venture owner, I ride a V-Star 1100 now. The favorite big cruiser I've had before was a Valk Tourer....other than crappy gas mileage it was an awesome bike. I've already picked up a lot of good info by lurking but I'm looking for some opinions on wind protection for the rider before I pull the trigger on the Venture I'm looking at...it's a long distance purchase and my g/f won't be able to go for a test ride. My g/f likes to ride (she'd be history if she didn't!) but she's a bit of a wimp when it comes to the wind. I know, irritating, but if I keep her happy she'll ride more and I'll be a happy. She's only ridden my V* and an Ultra Glide that we've rented a few times. She loved the HD, but she says she gets murdered by the wind on the Yamaha....it's a silverado with the stock windshield. I really debated between a Road Star and the Venture...I do love a V-twin. I think I'll be happy with either. I think the Road Star would be very similar to the V-star on wind, although I'm sure I could tweek the windshield adjustment to get it better. However I think I've made up my mind to go with the Venture so we can do more long distance riding. She'll be more comfortable, and I have to admit, that cushy driver seat looks pretty inviting to me too. Finally my question....anyone in a position to offer a comparison between the Ultra and the RSV as far as back-seater wind protection? Any opinions welcome. Thanks, Chris

Boy ooh boy. We went down to the dealer and bought a brand spanking new Sorento (2011) Saturday 16th. Wife was side swipped tonight Wed 20th. Please see pic below. What do we do ??? I know its value is less now even if it gets fixed to my satisfaction. It was not our fault. Other person was sited with tickets from Mo highway patrol. Never been through this before....It has 400 miles on it. We had custom pinstripe and 6 yr paint protection added http://www.kia-forums.com/images/smilies/sad.gif Body lines do not line up, it is pulling to the right really bad, slight vibration when driving now, neither door opens properly now. Pics do not show the entent of damages. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d901b3127ccefdfdf7adcdb700000030O08AZtmjJo0aOAe3nws/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d901b3127ccefdfc5bd26ce200000030O08AZtmjJo0aOAe3nws/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d901b3127ccefdfdd6138d8100000030O08AZtmjJo0aOAe3nws/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

What is everyone doing, if anything for paint protection? I can see how the lower fairings and bags could get chipped up, and the tank will see some wear as well. Is the only option to buy sheets of 3m and custom cut it? I wasn't particular about the color of my new bike, but I forgot what a pain black paint is to keep clean and swirl free.

Thinking about some kind of headlight protection for the Alaska trip. Anyone tried this 3M product? I have their paint protection product on the Space Shuttle (RV) and it seems to work good. http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motorcycle-headlight/

I'm going to have to buy riding gear for my new passenger and will probably get something new for myself. I have a leather jacket and chaps. The jacket is too heavy for summer. Neither give good rain protection. I'm wondering about your opinions on the differences between leather and some of the fabric garments available concerning protection, comfort, warmth and cooling, weight, etc. Mel:Venture: UPDATE: I have ordered Scorpion Hat Trick jackets from MOTORCYCLE-SUPERSTORE.COM---MSRP $229, I ordered Black/blue on sale @$149 with free shipping. I made my decision after visiting two dealers, trying on different jackets and comparing features, quality, price, etc. These jackets are three layers with the inner two able to be individually removed. I purchased two Nitro 1/2 helmets from Iron Pony for less than $25 each and was surprised at how closely the color matches my 2000 MM. I picked them up for protection for my grandchildren when we do short rides. Last fall I bought the Vega full face in the same color from Iron Pony and was surprised at how it matched my colors as well. They may be made by the same company. They have other colors as well. Beats not having protection for the grandkids when you can't afford expensive helmets for everyone. Here's the link: http://www.ironpony.com/ironponydirect/product.asp/ImageName/nt200-champagne.jpg/Brand/NITRO/Class2/Helmets/Class3/Open%20Face%20Helmets

I am curious. I have seen several posts about gear to stay warm when riding in colder weather, but nothing about gear for the warmer states. I would like gear that breathes a LOT. Considering in southern Louisiana, there is the constant race between the barometer and themometer as to which one reaches triple digits first. While I don't mind the net looking stuff, my wife finds it very uncomfortable - itchy to be exact. So I am open to most any suggestions. I just want some protection in case something unfortunate happens in the hot weather. Thanks,

How is the 05+ RSTD windshield in terms of wind protection and buffeting? I had a Kaw Nomad that had good protection but buffeted terribly unless oversized lowers were installed.

Like I said - its not my birthday but something wierd happened a few weeks back. Was trying to convince my wife that WE need to get a new Clearview windshield, explaining all about how She would have a better ride, and I would have better protection, etc. - and she said go ahead, You deserve it!!!!!! Thirty seconds later I had it ordered and today - UPS says they will deliver - and that makes it my Birthday (not)!!!

I was just wondering if leather or some of the other material would be better for protection. I have seen lots of jackets made of different materials at the bike shops and got to thinking would some of the other material be cooler and offer just as much protection as leather? I want to start replacing our riding gear with new stuff and wondered what we should go with. I am going to get new modular helmets and red wing boots so what about gloves, jackets and chaps?
