Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel , "Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago (when Welfare was introduced) Roosevelt said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this is the Promised Land." Today, the Government has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land! BEER30

Just received some Replacement OEM Parts from http://partshark.com/. (877.999.5686) Very satisfied with the order. Their website was easy to navigate, the pricing decent, and I was able to see the pictograms of the parts as I ordered. Upon ordering I received a confirmation email, followed shortly thereafter with an email explaining the status of my order and a promised email upon the parts being shipped. I did receive that email, with tracking #, the day they shipped. Parts arrived 7 days after ordered. The parts were correct, the process painless and as promised, hence the plug for these guys!!!! By the way, what does OEM stand for?

I don't make it to the rally in Harrison, AR. I've read and read the articles about adjusting the float levels in several posts so I finally convinced myself I should at the very least check them. So I now have RSV parts strung all over two garages. I hope I remember where all them little parts go. I'm mostly just kidding but I did take them apart and adjust the level and pretty much followed Goose's write up about it. I do wish he would correct the picture so that it shows the proper way of checking the floats. Anyway mine were not to bad I guess, two of the floats were .22 and the other two were .28. I now have them adjusted to what I think is .34 if I am measuring them right. I do not have the bike back together but I have a lot of confidence it will be fine. The thing I'm really looking forward to is the 10 percent increase in gas mileage that Goose promised. BOO

I ordered a part on Monday from Flatout and was a little concerned that it wouldnt make it here by this weekend as I start my vacation. I called Flatout on Wed and spoke to Chris. Let me tell you something....It was a pleasure speaking to someone at a dealer who actually expressed a genuine concern with my problem. He promised to get it out overnite once it arrives from Yamaha, at the regular shipping price no less. Talk about bending over backwards to help out!! Lets see......great prices and exceptional service.....no brainer where im getting any future parts from. Plus hes a member here too!! http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com Update: Chris e-mailed me back today to say the part came in and it will be overnighted to me so I should have it on Monday as promised. (UPS is closed on Sat). Im impressed!

If you are looking for an insurance horror story, this ain't it. Last Thursday I totaled my '04 Midnight RSV. Late Thursday I called in the claim. They promised to have someone call me back within 2 hours, they did. That person told me that an adujster would get with me the next day, Friday. Late Friday afternoon the adjuster, a really nice guy, came to my home to inspect the bike and prepare an estimate. He indicated at that time that it would probably be a total loss, it was. He called this morning to set up a time to come by and discuss the settlement this evening. I must say at that time I was expecting to have to negotiate a bit. I didn't. I "settled" for $13,039 after my $500 deductible. Seemed very fair to me a 3 year old bike with 40,000+ miles. The check is in the bank and I should have my new '07 black/blue RSV on the 15th. The adjuster was very polite, courteous and dependable. He did what he promised on time. Only 5 days from crash to settlement with a weekend in the middle. So if anyone asks for an insurance recommendation from me, it's Progressive. DT
