Does anyone have some pictures of the Barons tachometer mounted on the master cylinder cover of their bike? I'm going to be purchasing a tach and wanted to see what this set up looks like prior to purchasing. Also, what are you thoughts on it? Does it do everything you want it to? Does it look nice? Was the installation easy? Thoughts please? Thanks, Les

http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65462 I replied to Atldragonslayer and my reply went into the thread in front of an older post. I noticed the previous post actually had a timestamp that was 1/2hour in the future. So subsequant posts were showing up (text-wise) prior to the quoted post, out of sequence. ie: I posted at 9:15am clock time, but Bob's prior post had a timestamp of 9:45am.

Do new Ventures come from the factory with the "I" basket installed? May be interested in buying a 2011 Venture S and I'm wondering if I'll have to go through the trouble of getting the basket changed prior to delivery. Also, has anyone heard any news of a Venture re-design? Is there a new and improved Venture coming out soon? Thanks!

Good Day.. I am new to the Venture Rider Forum and requesting some help. I am considering to purchase a 2004 Midnight Venture with 12,000 miles that appears to be very clean and honorable. Is there anything that I should be aware of prior to purchasing that would make this year bike a poor choice? Service records are not available. I look forward to reading your responses. Richard

When inviting friends over for dinner, and if you cleaned your oven that afternoon, Miz Manners suggests having an ample supply of wine available prior to dinner, AND make sure the oven still works after cleaning it... We won't mention whose house we went to diner at!

Had a nice thing happen to me today (not), the valve stem on my front tire separated. I am curious however other than losing all my air is there any symptoms prior to all out failure I should have noticed? It had only been a few days since my last air pressure check. Joe

My new used '07 RSV has been home now for a couple of weeks. It has just about the exact same goodies that I would add if I had the $ to buy and equip new. Passing lamps and light bar, nice chrome radiator grill cover, saddle bag guard rails, and travel trunk rack. 18,500 miles on it, got it for $10,800. I got it from a big Honda dealer here in Indianapolis, and they also have a Yamaha dealership. The sales guy said he thought they might have gotten it from a Harley dealership. I asked if there was any way to find the previous owner, maybe through the VIN. Was told no way. I am curious if any of you have ever been able to do some detective work and find any info. like this. It would be nice to find out about maintenance, warranty repairs etc. I thought of carfax, but I don't think their reports include prior owners.

As I stated earlier this month I discovered the prior owner of my 99 RSV had busted out the bottom of the trunk and several of the screws had or were pulling throught the holes. Joe was kind enought to hook me up with an e-bay add for a replacement in the correct color ( got it for $200.00). It just arrived and I noticed some very fine hair line cracks on the bottom of this one also (but not all the way through. Joe also gave me a web site to get different fastners that have rubber and metal reinforcements (hope they work). I am worndering if I should put down a layer of epoxy or something to reinforce the bottom prior to instillation. Any thoughts would be welcome.
