Stopped in the local Yammie shop yesterday to check on something and just happened to see an 08 Venture sitting amoung the other bikes. I thought it might be new until I got closer and saw it was an 08 with 23,000 miles on it. It was priced at $12,999 and I was just curious if that was a good price and if anyone might be interested. Looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack. Would like a hitch assembly for our 1986 Venture. There is one on e-bay right now. Has 6 days to go. Also priced the Hitchdoc unit at $261.00. Thought I had one located but it went bye-bye. JB

Has any one pulled a Aluma, Nomad, or dart trailer? how well do they pull, & any problums with them. Just looking. If I could find a used one some where with in 500 miles of N.D. priced right I might need one. Would be nice. I know there are better ones out there but not spending that on a trailer. I have an 06 venture and someone decided they needed the top of my CB antenna more than I did. Replacement in Canada from dealer is $230.00. Does anyone have any reasonably priced alternatives?

I have a 99 RSV, yesterday the tail end started bouncing up and down like an old Chevy pick-up with just leaf springs... It's holding air OK, so I am assuming I have an oil leak...as the boot is covered with what looks to be old dirty oil. Can the rear mono shock be rebuilt? Does anyone have one(good one) reasonably priced? By reasonable I mean...the dealer here want $718...I want to spend a lot less. Any help about how to fix it or locate a decent priced replacement would be greatly appreciated...

We are planning a vacation in Panama City at the end of July. Our son lives in Tallahassee and our daughter in Chicago. We would like to get one unit for all of us. We used to stay there when the kids were little and it seemed pretty reasonably priced but my wife has been doing some internet pricing and everything seems much higher. Even taking into account inflation. Has anybody got a place they recommend?

This summer, during last part of June or Early July, my wife and I are considering trailering the bike to Colorado, staying in a cabin or condo, and riding around to see stuff. We are looking at the areas around Estes Park/Rocky Mt Nat Park/Boulder for places to stay for a week or so. Anyone know of good reasonably priced places to stay and things to do? We are recent empty nesters and are looking forward to just the two of us. The boys and I can go some other time. Iowa Guy

I have been a little distracted lately - last month a kid with a learner's permit made an illegal turn in front of my wife and totaled our beloved Jaguar XJ8. She was not badly hurt, so the biggest impact has been just the irritant of being ripped off by crappy insurance companies and looking for a replacement car. I'm not willing to throw money away anymore on the huge depreciation on a new luxury vehicle, so this time I went on the used market. Turns out the big Jaguar sedan is in pretty short supply out there - hard to find decent ones, and those move fast. But I finally found what we wanted and got her back in a decent car (and out of my truck!). Anyway, the whole point of this post is to advise anyone looking for a used high-end car to check out http://www.texascarsdirect.com. They focus mostly on Jaguar, Land Rover and Mercedes Benz, but also have the occasional BMW, Cadilac, Volvo, etc,. They do not deal on prices, but their vehicles are VERY clean and priced to move (and most go quickly because they ARE priced so fairly). They buy only the best from auctions in every state, and they inspect and take care of all necessary outstanding maintenance and wear items before they offer the cars for sale. They sell all over the nation, with lots of people flying in and driving home. The inventory changes daily. If anyone is interested in something they have, I'd be very happy to take it down to my mechanic for a full checkout and help coordinate whatever you need. Just thought I'd offer... Goose

Hi all, I was out on saturday and met mike Jinksy4 and we made a trailer swap and ofcourse we ate lunch but as we were getting to know each other and checking out each others bikes i couldnt help notice the "clearview"windshield he had with the vent. thats all i have been thinking about since then well and the BBQ we had for lunch but anyway here is my question to all of you. does anyone have one of these they want to part with? i priced them new and its just not in my budget to pay for a new one. i didnt know if anyone had one they didnt like for what ever reason or changed there mind about it or if anyone knows of where i might get one at a reasonable price im open to that as well. thanks for your input. What in Gods green earth makes these small tow behind motorcycle trailers so cotton pickin' expensive? Major manufactures have these things priced up in the same area as a full blown 6X12/14 tandem axel enclosed trailer. No way does it cost anywhere near what one of those would cost to build. And the scarry thing is.... folks are actually spending the long green to buy them. i know there are cheapies out there on the market, but I'm talking about the Bushtec's, ION's, ZZ's etc. When one of these things is priced at 4 grand retail plus shipping and they are selling direct it really makes me wonder..... I come out of the boating industry and no way does is cost that much to lay one of these things up in fiberglass, and that much in labor and material to finish one off....

I have not said anything but I must expressing my feelings. During the maintenance day someone wanted the chrome piece on the rear of the front fender of my bike and decided to take it. It happened at the hotel on Saturday night. I am not saying someone from the site did it but it had to be someone with a 2nd Gen. I priced the item from Yamaha and it is $160. I guess I will just do without for that price. I am sorry that this had to happen.

I am sure that you veterans here have heard this question many times, however here it comes again. I just purchased a 2005 RSV and do not have the Intercom cables (the extensions). My question is does any 5 pin work? And what are some reasoniable priced headphones w/mics? Thanks And let me say I really enjoy this site and looking forward to meeting you guys out there. Thanks

I'm thinking about getting a gps for Christmas. Don't have a lot of change and was looking in the paper and see the TOM TOM ONE pretty reasonably priced. Has anybody used them? Are they any good? Your thoughts please! Thanks, Kenw:322:

Has anyone found a good solution for repair or replacement of the idiotic plastic chrome strip under the windshield. The tabs break if you even think about taking it off!!!! At first I thought it was me... But now I am convinced that it's a cheap, idiotic design. Or perhaps it was done this way to make money for Yamaha - have you ever priced it?? The first break I repaired by reinforcing from the back side with epoxy. Worked OK but the second tab that broke didn't do as well. If you know something I don't please share.

I've seen a few places that sell kits, but I'd like to get some stainless lines that aren't necessarily standard. Anyone know of a place that sells open stock of stainless lines of various sizes with banjo fittings (reasonably priced ideally) so I can make up my own set(s) or replace pieces as budget allows?
