I know that I will be cooking dinner, as I do every year. I do not have brothers or sisters, so it is me. I am roasting the turkey, making the pumpkin pie, homemade dressing, mashed potatoes, rolls, and possibly green beans. Probably other items that I have not thought of yet. What are you all doing! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Let's all be thankful for this past year of riding. Yama Mama:smile5:

I had my '09 RSV triked about 3 months ago. We immediately took a four day ride down the Natchez Trace Parkway. Having some time now to evaluate and I've given some thought to possibly (possibly only) getting a trailer. I did not have a hitch installed when I had the trike conversion done. Would I need to have the Hannigan installer do the hitch or is that something I can pickup and install? If it's something I can do, where might I look for the hitch?

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/lifeguard-fired-leaving-post-beach-hallandale-florida-135238189.html What is our society coming to? Has anybody here seen the movie Idiocracy? Could our world as we know it possibly be headed in that direction? Sad, but I fear is may very well be true. Bill

I am looking at buying some cobra pipes for my bike, but would like to know if anyone in the area may be able to look at them for me, and possibly hold them if I buy them until I get there??

Are you you too far away to make it to my Maintenance Day? Well let's see...I've had members attend from as far as Texas, Louisiana, Florida...heck....even from as far away as Iceland and Australia so how can you POSSIBLY be too far away. It's really easy...just straddle that scoot and point it towards Ohio. Nothing to it. COWBOY UP and come on over.

I'm looking to possibly replace my stock mufflers. Problem is I don't want to have my ears ringing after a 30 minute ride, or bust other folks ear drums (unless I want to announce my presence). I want a deep heavy rumble at idle with a loud bark if I open'er up. Any suggestions on what type of mufflers to buy, and is there possibly a you-tube site that I can get an idea of the sound? Thanks in advance!

I posted a classified but wanted to post here too...I met a person with a 99 RSV who is looking for a complete trunk with passenger backrest. Let me know if you might possibly be able to help him out. I will talk him into joining this group!

Maybe its just me but in the past few weeks I have noticed 5 riders, 3 on wings and 2 on harleys with one thing in common: all were wearing flip-flop beach sandals while riding. Are they nuts? One hard stop where you have to put your foot down will rip that piece of rubber right off your foot with your foot possibly added in to that equation. I mean, c'mon...what are you thinking?? And these were not kids..older riders who should know better. Oh yea, the HD riders also had no helmets on. Sigh.........

A very good person on the website did me a huge favor. When i asked him the price he told me to pay it foreward. That was always one of my favorite movies in high school, and i really like the philosophy behind it. I believe that the whole pay it foreward thing could possibly be a philosophy that could equal up to world peace. So if anyone does something nice for you, just remember, pay it foreward. -CJ

Title says it all. I got a ride planned March 27-30 if anyone is interested. I'm gonna leave Northern Virginia on Saturday morning (27th) and head down to either Boone or Hickory, NC. I am supposed to meet my dad and a buddy there for 2 days of riding in the mountains i.e. Blue Ridge Parkway and possibly The Dragon. Camping is an option if the weather is condusive for it. I'll head back toward the DC area on Tuesday the 30th. If you'd like to ride with us, you're more than welcome! Look forward to possibly meeting anyone between here and there. More details to follow closer to the date. Ben

http://www.ridesafer.com/Motorcycle_tire_pressure_monitoring_system_p/tpm-20.htm Has anyone ever tried one of these devices and if so an opinion. It really looks interesting and possibly may give enough time to avoid a major mishap. Tom

Yesterday was a little cool in the morning, perfect weather to go to our local dealers for a look see in their warm showrooms. Everything I was looking for was there: Venture, Tour Deluxe, and others like Kawasaki Nomad and Suzuki 90T. The trouble is there are no bad ones today among all that we looked at. The top priority is comfort for the passenger. Yesterday the wife actually liked the back seat of the RSTD the best. As a driver she also felt she could handle it easier than the Venture. Since she too is looking to possibly trade in her 750 Vulcan, Mary's #1 pick to buy, drive, and/or ride as a passenger would be the Burgman 400 or possibly even the 650. So here we are, the winter dealer visits have begun and may the best dealers win.

In a 30 mile (or so) radius from me (Amherst, NY) who wouldn't mind my visiting them for a look-over of my bike. I have about one week left, on my warranty period, and would like someone (knowledgeable with the 1st Gens.) maybe take my bike for a test ride, and afford me their opinion. I hope that I am not asking too much, here, and would be willing to pay you for your time. All in all, it would mean ever so much to me, and (quite possibly) alleviate some concerns. Nothing, outside of what has been posted already, has cropped up. But I feel that another - much more experienced - rider just might be able to share some important & very helpful information with me. Advanced thanks. Evergodloving@aol.com 716-906-1692
