Got to the office this morning and turned on the air and nothing happened. The air conditioner is out. I am in south georgia and the weatherman said this was going to be the hottest, most miserable day of the year. Don't know when the repairman can get here. Anyone have a portable air conditioner? I am down to a tee shirt and pants. Do you think I would lose customers if I stripped down to just underwear or do you think I might get more customers, especially female customers.

Is anybody here going to DC on Memorial Day weekend ? I am going for the first time this year, been wanting to go for years. I've never even seen the wall except for the portable wall that I've had the privilege to escort a couple times.

We just got these new portable truck lifts at work. You have to wonder what would happen if a tire blew. By the way thats me holding the one post steady, looking a lot more confident than I really am

I was reading the Marshall Mod site, and it tells you that the CB is under the trunk (black box) Do the Ventures in the U.S.A. come with the CB as standard fit?? "Cause I don't have one!!!! Quickstep and I were looking into setting up CB on my bike -- now I need to know where do I get one that is compatible with the Venture set-up?? It's important that I can communicate with him on long trips if the pain gets bad or need pit stop etc., both rider to pillion, and rider to rider. We have portable CB radio's we used rider to rider with our last bikes, but it was part of the intercom system on his bike and we linked it to mine. (bike now sold) How expensive are the CB set up's for the Venture?? Is this really gonna hurt my pocket (again)

Today, Ron and I rode the bike to Harbor Freight. We found this nice high volume, 100psi, 12volt portable air compressor for $19.99 on sale. It is a nice compact size with all metal construction, with a quick disconnect coil hose and a nice straight air valve end. Comes with a nice carrying case. It is only 5 1/2" long, 2 inches wide, and 5 inches high. Thought I would share this with you. Yama Mama

Hi Guys I haven't had the need yet, but I would like to know if there are significant risks with jumping my Venture with either a portable power supply unit, or from a passenger vehicle. If I happened to be out in the middle of nowhere and I was stuck with a dead battery, would it be okay to jump my bike's battery with anything besides besides another motorcycle? Or, could the potential consequences from such an attempt, make it not even worth taking the risk? I figure that it would be best to find out these answers before I need to make a decision. Once again, the state of my battery right now is just fine, and I haven't had any problems with it. It's currently hooked-up to a Battery-Tender and the bike is parked in a closed garage. I just want to know about this just in case I am faced with the need to make a decision sometime in the future. Thanks & Be Warm! Pete.

I just wanted to give everyone my recommendation on a portable FM Modulator that you can use on your motorcycle. It comes with an adapter for use in a cars accessory port/lighter, but it is also portable via a set of batteries, so you can have it anywhere on you or the bike. http://www.buy.com/prod/cables-to-go-port-authority-2-mp3-to-fm-stereo-adapter/q/loc/111/10407003.html It's sound quality is the best I've heard from modulators, and it's convenience of being able to use it with any stereo tuner is a HUGE bonus.

In my Motorcycle club we are trying to get better communications. Now not everyone has the Gem of a bike I have with CB already on it so we area looking to purchase a few portable setups that arent permanantly fixed to the bike so that the road captain can have them to designate people as assistants. What I am looking for is recommendations on which type we should look at. I want it to be portable (handheld that can be worn by the rider) and a headset that isnt attached permanantly to an individual helmet.. Does anyone have any good ideas. I have seen one by Chatterbox but we need a few that work good.
