I just can't seem to get pictures of my RSVS to post in the classifieds with the ad so...until I can get that figured out, if anyone wants pix, email me at speedyg@nsatel.net and I'll send them that way for now. Thanks Renne.............

Life takes us down many roads, some we navigate, some are navigated for us. Along the way, decisions have to made when we find ourselves at crossroads. I've decided it's necessary to sell my 2008 RSVS. With just over 4k it'll last someone a LONG time. The price is right, PM me and I'll send pix and a list of nice touches. (email, speedyg@nsatel.net). I'm not leaving VR, fact is I just renewed my membership. RENNE

Just got back from the M&E, small turnout but great time great food anyways. Yanks outnumbered the Canucks for a change, 11 to 7!!! Here's some pix...

Thought I would post a quick pic from todays M&E here on Ole Virginia...Duke picked I good spot...I'll leave the other pixs in Bobby's professional hands.. PS...Duke informed me today that the handle from when I first signed on the site "gharbourjr" needed to be changed.....He suggested that my 6' 6" height should be considered in the handle...Donna and I talked riding home.... Since I have a Bud here in Lynchburg calling me "LongTall"...We decided to go with that......What a great ride today and what a great group of folks... So...Freebird...If you read this...Please change handle to "LongTall" Link to Group Pix. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Ow2Jv3oh1erwE-8tt3x5pQ?feat=directlink LongTall formerly... There is an estate auction at our next door neighbors Sunday with an 89 Virago 1100 on it. It's got a bad back tire, the auctioneer doesn't know if it will start and it's got the derndest thing on the gas tank. It's a relief of a precious moments figure on it (I know, I know.....don't mean to speak ill of the dead, but he was an odd ball to say the least) but.....I'm hoping I can get it for about $200.00. I'll put a new tire on it, get that #%*# thing off the gas tank, have it repainted for $200.00. Hopefully the battery will just need charging. When I get done with it, I hope to have a match to mine. Wish I had a pix to show you how ugly mine was before I had it repainted. This bike is quite a bit older than mine, but the style is pretty much the same. If I get this thing....I'm going to have to post a pix of what that gas tank looks like. Anyway...this is how I'm hoping to have it look when I get done. Wish me luck!!

Last weekend...a couple of our sons, friends, my brother and his wife took a 3 day Winery tour! Have never posted pix before, but wanted to try it. The one is at New Diggins, WI and the other is crossing the ferry at Cassville IA. I just got the digital camera so I'm not very good at taking pix or downloading them yet.

that asks a lot of questions around here, but your all kind enough to usually clue me in so here's a couple more. 1. When people reply "bump" what does that mean? 2. Different threads state something like...."You know the rules" (especially about posting pix of meet and eats)...Is there really such a thing as rules on this web site and if so can somebody clue me in on what all the rules are. Just don't want to go breaking any! If you look close enough on my pix you'll see the word "gullible" tattooed on my forehead.

Hey All....I was looking to do a little tinkering with the RSV yesterday and took things off to see about LOWERING the bag rails (Per the post here on the forum _Gen II)....When I loosened things up and lowered the rail and set the bag back on to check alignment, I noticed that the "new hole" spot "MIGHT" be to close to the curve in the chrome rail....(I looked at Boomers post again and pix)....QUESTION PLEASE: 1. When others have done this, does your rails ALWAYS look even with the bottom of the bags and level with the muffler pipes?. When I move the rail end up to make sure I have room for a lock nut, and replace bag for visual check, it is not level with either, but MUCH better than it is now! 2. I went to local hardware store and picked up a LOCK NUT for the bolt...Is this what everyone has been using? The kind with plastic inside...In stainless steel... The reason for these questions is that in Boomer's post and pix, his rail really line up WELL with the bag bottom! George In Virginia

Well, I finally took the time to mount gauges on my 07 RSV. Same mix of gauges I put on the 05, but different look and very different mounting. Here are a couple of pix. I'll have a full writeup for the tech section in a day or two. Goose

I was reading the threads a few weeks ago..about how the 1st gen. handles without the tour pak installed....Well, I thought I'd try it since Yammer Dan said the bike handled differently. Wow, I'm 5'-11 and around 160 lbs., and I can't believe it's the same bike...Handles better than I thought was possible. The VR has always felt top heavy to me..til I removed the big box...I weighed my TP and it tipped the scales at 31 pounds. Now, add stuff to the box and you can easily add 50 pounds way above the center of gravity, and you have a top heavy bike..I bought a piece of .100 thousands thick shiny aluminum tread plate from Lowes and made a luggage platform for a duffle with just clothes. All the attachment points are already available. Now, I can fill the saddle bags and that will help keep the CG low. I took pix of the set up, but have never learned how to add pix to a thread. If someone can instruct me, I'll post pix and, also, how I added a 90 degree zerk fitting to the steering head.... God, I love this stuff....
