Hi everyone. In the process of a pretty stout going over of my wife and I's 86'. We've had those middle of the road IMC intercoms on our agv modulars for several years, maybe 30k through all the elements. THey still work great. They're the ones that have a firewire looking pinout to the coily 5pin. I would love to that pinout too, specifically if anyone's integrated those into a different configuration. Then I started thinking, Has anyone overhauled the entire audio/cb/intercom? Maybe out of a 2nd gen? My nightmare concern is maintaining all the ext. thumb button control and all. I'd love to drop another $100 mega flexible, bluetooth wal mart stereo in the hole but I want to be able to control with the existing. I like that my wife can adjust all her stuff and the radio as well. Then what about the CB? We live by that thing! Has anyone done an extensive audio/media (inc. CB) overhaul that would integrate nicely with the headsets? Great forum!!

I have my Computer "information display" out for re soldering and I am photographing steps so others can understand this one better. I had only one "cold" solder joint and it in fact did not look cold to me but what happens when you run too much current through a incomplete joint. I am sure that it's the one for the headlight low beam, but would like to confirm it. Does anyone have a pinout of what pin is for what on the unit? The one pin that needed to be re-soldered was all the way to the edge of the connector.

I really must apologize for the 1st pinout drawing that I provided as I was checking out the pinouts today and when I compared them to an opened TCI I found that some of the pins didn't match the colorized electrical schematic I have. Some of the coil numbers were incorrect so I have taken them off the pinout drawing until I have a chance to trace them on my bike which is a 1985 1st Gen 1200. You can all shoot me later. Regards DonB PS if anyone wants a larger version then email me at donb@mnsi.net
