2006 RSTD Looking for a replacement seat like the Ultimate http://www.ultimateseats.ca/yamaharoyalstarTD.html Wanting to get a seat that is lower than the stock seat, yet comfortable for long rides. Also want to put a chrome rail around the seat. Backrest is a plus. Going to take the passenger pillion and passenger backrest off, but will want to be able to use this in case I ever want to take a passenger out on this bike. Recommendations?

i have a 2007 RSTD which i have installed a Hoppe fairing and fabbed a detachable tour pak bracket and box. the factory windshield and lowers and the pillion backrest are in near perfect condition, i am considering selling these parts and was curious to what some of the member here thought about the pricing of the parts? any suggestions would be appreciated. i know to purchase new the rear pillion and all factory components would run about $825.00 which seems ludicrous but that's what the going price is !!

Ladies recommendation for the pillion seat?
Guest posted a topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
We just did a hundred mile ride on my "new" 07 RSTD and my wife was miserable on the stock pillion. A year or so she had in injury to her tailbone and this stock pillion is just not going to cut it. Ladies - what pillion seat do you find comfortable for the Royal Star Tour Deluxe? We just moved from a C-50 Boulevard that I had Mustang seats on - and I had gone to great extremes to make sure we were both comfortable - but I don't want to go the Mustang route with the RSTD. Any recommendation for my lovely wife would be greatly appreciated.. Shep -
Hey guys. Just wanted to share a couple of shots from my recent 5 weeks away in Central Australia and the Top End with my bride. #1 is me riding pillion. #2 is shooting sunset at Uluru. #3 is an average sized termite mound in Kakadu. #4 crossed our paths when we were in the Kakadu Wetlands (Foggs Dam). Enjoy. There's 4,296 more where they came from.

My wife has nearly quit riding with me complaining of too much wind buffeting. She says that after an hour behind me with our OEM windshield she gets headaches. I'm only 5' 10" and she's 5' 6", so on the pillion her head is slightly above mine. What windshield do y'all recommend including height and width.
