We have a trip to St. George coming up end of next week and I decided I was going to have to take the trailer with. I've had the Piggybacker for a few years and used it on occasion but always thought it looked too plain, so.....thought I'd make it fit the bike: http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr70/utadventure/Piggybacker/SANY0014.jpg

Anyone out there pull a Piggybacker with their 2nd Gen? I used to have an older model Piggybacker that I pulled with my first 2nd Gen and it had regular bulbs in the tail light. I hooked it up with a Hopkins converter and everything worked great. I just bought a newer Piggybacker to pull with my 05 and it has LED tail lights. I hooked it up with a Hopkins 46155 converter and everything went well, but the flashers and turn signals don't work as expected. I can see a small flicker with the blinker/flasher on, but I figured an extra set of LEDs would light up. The tail lights have a label on the that state 1 wire for tail, 1 for stop turn and 1 for ground. So.....has anyone on here with a newer piggybacker had this issue?

Has anyone replaced the lid supports on a Piggybacker? Mine has those flat metal strips that are not too stable. I was thinking of getting some of those hood supports.....same as the ones on a truck cap door. Or did they have them on there before and were trouble? Just looking for a winter project.... Thanks Keith

I just came back from a 10 day trip using my Piggybacker for the first time.....was great! But I did notice that larger vehicles seem to creep awful close to the rear of the trailer....not sure they could see it? I always leave room in the front for possible escape if I have to. So have any of you creative folks come up with anything to make the rear more visible? I was thinking about a boat rail mount flag pole? Looking for ideas!!!! Thanks Keith

Some time ago I read about someone changing the locking mechanism on their Piggybacker XL but can't seem to find the post. The cylinder on mine broke in half and fell out during vacation this year and I must come up with a replacement. The lock is probably the weakest feature of the trailer and I had planned to eventually replace it. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it? Thanks! Don

Four of us are headed to eastern Tenn. in late June for a six day vacation in the great Smokey Mts. This will be our first extended motorcycle tour and the first time to the area. My wife and I will be on our 08 RSV and our friends are taking thier 08 GLwing with a piggybacker. I would like to hear some about your favorite towns, sites, motels, resturants and twisty roads. Any advise on things to avoid would be welcome as well. Thanks for your help.

First decided to finally finish assembling my Piggybacker. Early afternoon I was pleasantly surprised by a visit from Niagara135 (Steve) and his wife Cindy and had an enjoyable chat. After they left, I went back to the task at hand, only to be surprised a few minutes later by Big Tom and Tater, along with his friend Daryl (sp) and his wife whom we are embarrased to say we can't remember her name but were glad to meet the two of them. Got to swing a leg over a Valkrye and was thoroughly impressed with how low it is and how easy to balance. Me thinks I would like a touring version of one of those!! Anyways, after a nice visit by those 4 I actually got the Piggybacker in one piece, just a little bit more to do. Sure is nice to see something that looks like a trailer rather than three large pieces laying around! Weather was super, company was greatly appreciated, and I got something accomplished!!
