Here are pictures from today's lunch at Pawley's Porch! We had a great turn out with perfect riding weather! Art708, Tom, Joe Pat and Bobbi, Sling (Rick) and Peggy, Pecker (Dave), Chuck (works with George), and Blackjack (Terry) were there. After lunch, we rode back to the house and had New York Cheesecake and apple pie (the key lime pie need revamping!). Thank you Blackjack and Sling for fixing my water swan! I will make sure it runs every weekend! Had a great time today! Thank you Joe Pat for suggesting today! http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic/2010/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20SC%20MnE%20Pawleys%2020101002/?start=96

Wedding is now History. Our oldest daughter got married yesterday. The Story is a redneck story. Daughter is now married to her ex husbands wife's ex. Her ex husband got married last month to husbands ex girlfriend that he has 3 kids with. Now we have a new son-in-law and 3 step grandchildren. Front arch was a deer feeder. Targets and leaves 7mm mag casings all part of the decor. Menu was Brown Beans, Cornbread, Vegetable Soup, Chili, and Potato Soup. Wedding Cake, pumpkin pie and apple pie. Sweet tea lemonade and coffee. Frogman took his skinning knife in case of a fight.

Thank You to the Sleeperhawks, Riderduke, Mini, the Painters, The Bugfish's, and Scarylarry. We appreciate you coming to Clares graduation party, and truly enjoyed all of your company. Your support in her graduation meant very much to the both of us, and we cannot wait to spend time with all of you again. On a side note, I seem to have a collection of Mechanics pie plates, I will have to hold them hostage until the next pie arrives.

Had a couple of visitors today. Steve (hdhtr) was coming by to have Jeff change his brakes and he brought Joe (Joe Taylor) with him. They played with the bikes then we had blackberry pie. Jeff called and talked to Michelle to find out what pie Steve would like. So I made one and they seemed to like it they all ate it. Then we headed to Willaimston to eat and they headed home and so did we. Nice day for a ride too. 1st pic so everyone knows who was who Jeff, Joe & Steve Only ones in the pics since I took them. Well I've owned my 07 for almost two months now and I've done about 1500 miles in and around Vermont and down to Cape Cod twice. Everyone is right, it is a sweet ride. I've still not gotten accustomed to the noises that it makes. Harleys are a lot differant. But anyway, my wife and I did a 200 miler on Sunday and we finally saw another Venture (two riding next to each other) We were in the town of Manchester in bumper to bumper traffic, damn tourists! But anyway they saw me and I yelled hey there's a Venture and got a big smile from both of the quys. I know kinda hookie but it was pretty cool to see another one. If any of you riders are in The Vermont area on Columbus Day Weekend come down to the Apple Pie Festival. Its a day long event in the town of Dummerston and usually they see at least 500 to 600 hundred bikes stop for Pie!!! Great area to ride in Joshua

Ron had our bike a part for weeks. He put a new Avon Venom on the front, and replaced the seal in the manifold (at least I think that was what it was). It was a beautiful day last Sunday so we thought lets ride. Go to start it and the battery was dead. It was the original battery for our 99. So we finally found a battery today. I made an apple pie. I think that we are ready to go. This is the first event we are going to be able to make. I am excited to meet everybody. Ride safely and I will see you there. Peggy:big-grin-emoticon:

Mini Muffin made not one but 3 pies today so that Becky would get the one promised to her and Beer that I ate last weekend.I guess Mini thinks I dont have room for 3 pies in my belly. Not to mention the scoot right now I have 2 whole pies in the trunk of the MiniBike and have had my share of one at the house so we will see if the Beers (Becky) gets a delivery of a whole pie or not. Right now I want to say to Becky I am sorry if the pie does not make it there whole I will try to refrain from eating it unless that is they built a DQ on my route in the last 48 hours,:whistling: Jeff

Dave, Kit, Mechanic and I took a nice little 340 mile ride today. Weather started out in the mid 40s and ended up in the mid 60s. :rasberry: Since Kit picked the direction and once I saw where we were headed, I told them let's ride on to Hilton Head for BBQ at Jim & Nicks. great BBQ, coconut cream pie and chocolate cream pie. HMMMM good. :cool10: No SNOW or ICE, just nice sunny day :7_2_104[1]:

What a wonderful time we had this weekend with our family! For those coming in Friday night, they ran into a lot of rain, but after a foggy start on Saturday morning, the day turned out to be beautiful!! We had a great turn-out - with a total of 24 people, 14 bikes and 2 vehicles! Those attending were: Sleeperhawk and me (Bobbie) – SC Dave38x (Dave) - SC Kit Carson (Kit and Sandy) – SC Bildar (Bill) - SC Riderduke (David) – VA Nkbjones (Nate) and Baxter – VA Muffinman (Jeff) – NC Mini-Muffin (Margaret) - NC Beer30 (Gene) and Beer 24/7 (Becky) – NC Tim261 (Tim) - NC dexl1200 – (Dave and Kathy) – FL Doug and Lolita Curry - FL 86er (Todd) – GA Gray Ghost (Cliff and Elizabeth)- GA Blackjack (Tery) - GA Tazmocycle (Don) - AL GRl-Str (Susan) - AL Hugabare did not make it and YamaGeezer had to work at the last minute so they did not make it - hopefully next time! Texas Roadhouse will never be the same again - it was a free for all with the peanut throwing and Sleeperhawk being tied up, I mean tied to his chair by Riderduke!!! We won't elaborate on that!!! After taking the long way to our home, everyone had dessert. MiniMuffin brought her famous pumpkin apple spice bread and sweet potato pie which added to what I had of 2 apple pies, 2 cherry pies, 1 blueberry pie, 1 pecan pie, banana cake, lemon bars, cream cheese bars, chocolate cupcakes, spice cupcakes, brownies, cookies, cat-eyes, along with dips, chips, cheese and meat trays, and pickle tray, there was enough for everyone! There was plenty of room in the bunkhouse, just a lot of snoring going on! Next time, bring in the ear plugs from the bike! Sunday morning, our builder catered breakfast for everyone here so all left with a full tummy. After all but Blackjack and 86er left, we all went for a ride to DQ and Blackjack and 86er went on home. It would not be a meet and eat without DQ! I ended up with 618 pictures and will upload those later! Once again, we enjoyed the Meet and Eat and look forward to seeing everyone again! Thanks to all who came! Ride safe, Bobbie

After diligently searching for two weeks for rhubarb in the local stores, I finally found some at our Kroger store soooooo last night I made a rhubarb pie. :cool10: Sleeperhawk said "Not too bad!" If I can find rhubarb in the store before our South Carolina Meet and Eat, I will make one!
