I won't be able to attend MD this year and bring Mic-Mutes kits with me, due to my wife making other plans for me. I'd rather be with you than at this family picnic :>( If your interested in Mic-Mutes, get in touch ASAP and I'll have it shipped to Freebird's. There will be plenty of folks there to help with installations. 412-787-1182

Charlene and I went for a day out today, packed a picnic lunch and went to FDR State Park, in Pine Mtn.,Ga. The weather was beautiful and the roads were very uncluttered. We picniced on Dowdell Knob, which is where FDR used to love to picnic, it was his favorite spot in the park. The view was beautiful and there were only a few people there. We took a few pics of the area and went on our way riding around the park, we came across a strange building on a side road, but we couldnt tell if it was a private residence or old church, it had an iron 7 foot tall spiked fence around it and had peacocks all over the place. We really couldnt tell what it was used for. After leaving there we headed back to Newnan for some desert at the local DQ.............then disaster struck...................DQ was closed........we were devastated, we were talking about it all the way back and it just ended our perfect day not so perfectly................. The only down side to the trip was that we did it in a 4 wheeled vehcile and not on the bike........but it still was great to get Charlene out to do something with all she has been through, many more of these types of weekends to come..................

Trying to finalize a place to stay - or at least get a general idea of what I am looking at and it seems like almost anything along I-90 in MT is 100+?!?!!? Anyone have any suggestions on somewhere reasonably priced to stay? I have checked some campgrounds out, and even several of those want anywhere from 30 to 50 /night FOR A TENT campsite?! Sheesh. Since I'll be doing 1800 miles in a very short amount of time, I'd sort of like to have something softer than a picnic table at a rest area... I'm open to suggestions. I saw a thread a while back on travel hammocks which looked pretty awesome, but I certainly did not have time to order it and have it arrive in time. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
