In the market for a new rear tire and was curious if anyone has had any experience with the Michelin Commanders. Looking for how many miles you got out of them and how they handled on wet roads. Thanks in advance for the information. Phoenix Additional question - can anyone advise on the new tread depth? Michelin doesn't post their tire specs on their website.

Heading out for Phoenix in the morning - will probably stop tomorrow night somewhere between Capitan and Socorro NM. I know, I know - that means either Capitan, Carrizozo, or Socorro - there ain't nothin else! If anyone is around to say hi, give me a shout; cell number is Eight One Seven - nine three nine - nine one five five. Will be coming back on the 18th, so if you're in the area but tomorrow doesn't work, maybe then? On the way back, I'll probably stop somewhere between Capitan and Lubbock. Anybody in Phoenix wanna have a beer? I'll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Goose

Jan and I drove from Las Vegas, NV this morning to Tucson, AZ. We looked at it on mapquest last night to get a feel for the day (427 miles). When we programed the TOMTOM and headed out, Jan noticed that it showed a 100 mile longer trip than what we saw the night before. Come to find out, the unit was keeping us on the Interstates and would have taken us to Flagstaff, AZ first and then south to Phoenix, then Tucson. We remembered mapquest took us down Hwy 93 to Phoenix and once we started that way, the unit corrected itself and, poof, a hundred miles of driving disappeared. Man did we get lucky! Dave

It doesn't get any simpler then this! Subject: Arizona Governor's response to Phoenix Suns Owner Phoenix Suns have protested the Arizona Immigration Law: The owner of the Phoenix Suns basketball team, Robert Sarver, opposes AZ's new immigration laws. Arizona 's Governor, Jan Brewer, released the following statement in response to Sarver's criticism of the new law: "What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were sneaking into games without paying? What if they had a good idea who the gate-crashers are, but the ushers and security personnel were not allowed to ask these folks to produce their ticket stubs, thus non-paying attendees couldn't be ejected. Furthermore, what if Suns' ownership was expected to provide those who sneaked in with complimentary eats and drink? And what if, on those days when a gate-crasher became ill or injured, the Suns had to provide free medical care and shelter?" - Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer

I just purchased a new 08 TD, I live just west of Phoenix. Are there any guys in the Phoenix area (or even Tucson) who do their own maintenance? I would not mind hosting some type of tech day at my house. Changing plugs, oil, filters is not an issue. Removing tires, tuning and snycing carbs etc. are items I would prefer to have help with. Thanks, George

Saturday, I am putting my lovely wife and our 17 yo son on a plane to Phoenix. They are going to spend the week watching the Brewers and the Cubs in Spring Training. Wish I could go along, but some one has to stay here with the other 3 kids and the dogs - and to pay for the trip. I certainly don't think it will be needed, but is there someone out in the Phoenix area that would be willing to help if something goes wrong? Neither of them are 'professional' travelers, but they should be OK. I have programmed the airport, hotel, and all the ball parks onto the GPS they will be taking along. Again, I don't think they would need to call. But if something happens and we need some local info, will anyone volunteer to accept a phone call for help? Just trying to cover my bases (pun intended). RR

WOW, New Enough has ladies Joe Rocket Phoenix jackets for the best price I've ever seen. I just ordered Debbie one as she likes the all mesh better than the mesh/leather that she has. It also comes with the waterproof liner too! Plus we get to donate a $1 to venturerider.org during checkout! http://www.newenough.com/ladies_joe_rocket_phoenix_3point0_jacket_page.htm
