We had a potential costly situation with a trike dealer turn into a positive experience for us. For a couple of years Phil has been dreaming and planning to trike out his bike before he retires. The back in the beginning of August he pulled the trigger and put down a 50% deposit with the Oklahoma Hannigan Trike Dealer. He's been smiling non stop for the last 3 weeks. Earlier this week I was online paying some bills and noticed that the dealer had not cashed our check yet and that bothered me. The day next we got a letter in the mail with two sentences on it. "I cannot do your trike conversion." "I am returning your check." At least the dealer returned our check, but we still don't know what happened, we can only speculate. We are very lucky that our check was returned and that he had not deposited it and then told us try to get it back. We could have lost that money. (Of course I would have made his life uncomfortable if he had. I would have turned our daughter the lawyer loose on him.) Here's where the story turns positive. Phil called Hanningan Factory the next day. He made up his mind that he was going to trailer his bike to Kentucky and get the factory to install the trike kit. Phil talked with John from Hannigan, and John was fantastic. He was upset about the OKC situation and uphappy because the dealer has not talked with them. But he also told Phil that he was going to put us in touch with another dealer who would treat us right. He even made the phone call to the new dealer to contact us. In an hour we had a call from Gary with Lone Star Trikes and he and Phil were busy working out a work order for the trike. By the middle of the afternoon we had an invoice emailed to us and confirmation that the trike kit had been ordered at Hannigan with a mid October delivery date for the kit. Lone Star Trikes is even going to stop by the house and pick up the bike. I cannot say enough good things about Hannigan and Lone Star Trikes they worked with us to make Phil's dream of a trike turn the positive experience we wanted it to be. (Plus they saved me money I did not have to buy the trailer to take the bike to KY and that always makes me happy) My hats off to Hannigan and Lone Star Trikes they ROCK!:thumbsup2:

If anyone has one that is in good condition, I'd be interested in it. Mine doesn't stay in the position you put it in. It has worn itself out, I guess. Phil -
. CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES. I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished." So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates, and a half bottle of scotch. You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now. Pass this on to those whom you think might be in need of inner peace.

Cliff, Phil and I thought of you and Elizabeth today when we replaced our flag with the new one the Elizabeth had sent me from when she was stationed in Kuwait. I said a prayer for you and your family thanking you for your service in protecting and serving this great country as I raised the flag, and asked God to protect those in active duty today. MET UP WITH PJ BENNETLEPEL, HIS WONDERFUL GIRLFRIEND, BIG D AND LITTLE D..FROM THE VALKRE RIDERS CLUB AROUND 9 45 THIS MORNING AT THE CORFU EXIT OF THE NYS THRUWAY. AFTER SOME SMALL TALK AND FUEL FOR THE BIKES WE PROCEDED TO A FAVORITE MOTORCYCLE EATERY KNOW ALL OVER NY CALLED EARLS ON RT 16 IN CHAFFEE. HERE WE MET UP WITH 2 MORE MEMBERS..SPANKYM AND NIAGARA 135.. AGAIN MORE SMALL TALK ALONG WITH A GREAT LUNCH. POOR STEVE (NIA135) HE WORKED ALL NIGHT AND STILL WENT RIDING WITH US.YOU COULD SEE HE WAS REALLY BEAT.ANY WAY AFTER LUNCH, WE TOOK A RIDE TO ELLICOTVILLE IN THE SOUTHERN TEIR. OF COURSE, ICE CREAM WAS IN ORDER...IT WAS AN HOUR RIDE SINCE LUNCH..SO WITH TWO SCOOPS DOWN,IT WAS TIME TO START THINKING ABOUT DINNER..HUMMM..R AND D IN LEROY? SURE LETS GO FOR IT..IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE US A COUPLE OF HOURS TO GET THERE....WELL I KINDA MIS JUDGED THAT..I WAS OFF JUST A LITTLE..IT WAS NOW 5 OCLOCK AND WE WERE ALL GETTING A LITTLE STIFF( MUST BE GETTING OLD) SO I DECIDED TO STOP AND GET THE FEELING BACKIN MY BUTT(THANKS JOANNA FOR THE BUTT RUB..PHIL DONT WORRY ABOUT IT..)AND OF COURSE THE BIKES NEEDED GAS.AFTER THE STOP,NIAGARA HAD ENOUGH AND HEADED HOME.GREAT RIDING WITH YOU AGAIN STEVE.. WELL WE HEADED OUT AGAIN TRYING TO GET PHIL AND JOANNA CLOSER TO THEIR HOME TURF BEFORE WE SPLIT UP, SO WE HEADED TOWARD THE CITY OF BATAVIA AND ENDED UP HAVING CHINESE FOR SUPPER..THE CAT WAS GREAT..JUST KIDDING JOANNA..JUST KIDDING...WELL AFTER DINNER WE SAID OUR GOOD BYS.. IT WAS A WONDERFUL DAY WITH WONDER MEMBERS..PHIL AND JOANNA MAKE IT HOME SAFELY BACK TO THE FINGER LAKES, BIG D AND LITTLE ARE SNUG IN THEIR HOME IN ALBION, AS FOR SPANKYM AND MYSELF ,WE DECIDED TO RIDE ON A LITTLE LONGER WITH ONE MORE COFFEE STOP.WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY...JUST A LITTLE NOTE FOR ALL YOU MEMBER OUT THERE..PHIL (PJBENNETLEPEL IS A WONDERFUL CARTOONIST..HE DID CARTOONS OF TATERS AND ME ON OUR BIKE AS WELL AS BIG D AND LITTLE D.. PHIL IS A LITTLE MODEST ABOUT THIS.. IF YOU WOULD LIKE SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT TO HANG ON YOUR WALL, CONTACT PHIL..YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED). GOT UP THIS MORNING EARLY KNOWING TODAY IS THE DAY THAT TATERS, NEW MEMBER SPANKEYM, MYSELF AND TWO OF MY RIDING COMPANIONS PLANNED TO RIDE TO WATERLOO TO MEET UP WITH ANOTHER NEW MEMBER PJ BENNETLEPEL..(PHIL FOR SHORT) REASON....WELL AFTER FINDING OUT THAT PHIL IS A CARTOONIST,WE ALL DECIDED THAT MAYBE WE COULD TALK PHIL INTO DOING CARTOONS OF OURSELVES WITH OUR FAVORITE SCOOTS..SORRY PHIL THE CATS OUT OF THE BAG....SO AFTER MEETING PHIL FOR BREAKFAST...MAKING SURE HE WAS TOO STUFFED TO MOVE..WE SURROUNDED PHIL AND BEAT UP ON HIM TILL HE SAID HE WOULD DO THE DRAWINGS... SO WITH THAT SAID AND DONE AND AFTER PHIL TOOK SOME PICS OF OUR MUGS AND SCOOTS,HE WAS GRATIOUS TO OFFER TO TAKE THE FIVE OF US ON A TOUR OF SOME OF THE FINGER LAKES AND VINYARDS THAT SURROUND THEM...THANK YOU PHIL ..ITS JUST AMAZES ME THAT YOU CAN DIAL A PERFECT STRANGER ONE DAY..MEET HIM FOR A MEAL THE NEXT,AND BECAUSE OF A COMMOM BOND OF MOTORCYCLING END UP WITH A GREAT NEW FRIEND..THIS IS A GREAT SITE FILLED WITH GREAT PEOPLE...BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT ALREADY..DONT WE? THANK YOU AGAIN PHIL AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WELCOMED AS A FRIEND WHENEVER YOUR IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS...P.S.
