I know I'm still a newbie here but I'm trying hard to fit in an get to know people. What i would like to see is an easier way to figure out were folks are from. I do not recognize many of the state flags or cities listed in folks profile or when they post. Is there something I'm missing or a place on this forum to go with a map an stick pin of peoples location. Trying to figure out who is close by my location and the places I would like to travel to. I have about wore out my atlas an my eyes trying to find this information. No i don't have a GPS

First let me wish you all a very 'MERRY CHRISTMAS" from Taters and myself. I personally want to thank all of you for being part of my extended family. I want to thank the NY gang for putting up with me and for all the help throughout the year with with my annual rally and for their contributions in making ALL our rides and meet and eats a success. (this includes my friend north of the border !). Taters and I have made some truly wonderful everlasting friends here...From all the wonderful people we have met at MD, our rides and m&e's, thank you for being such a joy to be around.. If I have ever posted anything that offended you I am truly sorry, that was never my intent and I ask your forgiveness...Sometimes my fingers type faster than my brain works...Freebird what can I say, did you ever realize the impact you would have on peoples lives when you started this forum? I don't think so...So again "THANK YOU ALL" for being such great friends, for making me laugh when I'm having a bad day, for making me cry when I think I'M going thru hard times, for reminding me what true friendship is all about, and for humbling me with all your acts of kindness toward each other...GOD BLESS YOU ALL...

just got off the phone with la. he asked me to tell everyone he's doing fine, the connection was'nt real good so i had a hard time hearing him. he is staying at his daughters in springfield, mo.. he is having some heart problems. i think he said conjestive heart disease. short of breath etc. he is in the process of buying a house. he tore the drain plug out of his bike loading it on the trailer, so he has no wheels right now. he said he will probably get it fixed in time for the hub meet next week. sure hope so. he said he has't been posting lately cuz he does'nt want to tell everyone his problems. i know he does'nt like to cry on peoples shoulders but, if you folks could say a little prayer for him i'm sure he would'nt mind, and if he does thats to bad. he's going through some major changes, and i kinda worry about him. he probably does'nt know it but i consider him to be one of my best friends. bill

"COVINGTON, La. — A boxed bathtub fell from the bed of a pickup truck and slid into a motorcyclist's path Saturday, critically injuring the 72-year-old rider, Louisiana State Police said." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,264846,00.html I'm just posting this as a reminder that you have to watch everything. Even the loose stuff in the back of people's trucks. I've more than once been pelted by gravel, dirt ans sand from a dump truck up to 1/4 mile in front of me. I also saw a pickup truck loose his entire load of aluminum cans on a major interstate bridge. Luckily I was in my car at the time. I've seen mattresses, sofa's, lounge chairs and more fall off of peoples cars and trucks. Peoples loose loads can be far more dangerous than the idiot behind the wheel.
