An "interesting" way to say thank you to the troops. Our very own Alice in Wonderland, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, the darling of the Tea Party and a possible contender for Office of the President in 2012, plans on introducing a bill to reduce Department of Vetern Affairs budget by 4.5 billion dollars. To do this she wants to: Cap increases in DVA health care spending. Reduce veterans disability compensation Off-set disability payments by the amount of compensation received in SS Disability Insurance payments. Guess she is tired to just paying lip service to the Veterans.

A Pennsylvania woman is facing insurance fraud charges after authorities say she worked as a stripper while collecting worker's compensation payments. The state Attorney General's office said 43 year old Christina Gamble of Quakertown collected thousands of dollars in insurance payments while working at C.R. Fanny's Gentlemen's Club and Sports Bar. I wonder how many times the insurance adjuster had to visit C.R. Fanny's to observe the evidence?

From time to time it is necessary to negotiate payments with bill collectors. I am talking about those unexpected medical bills that can pile up from just a few visits to the clinic.I have learned to negotiate quickly with these people since they have the power to file judgments, garnish wages, and even send out private investigators to find you and your assets. Our major medical insurance is just that. Major medical with a $2500 deductible per person. So those normal routine services and minor medical procedures are billable.I called today and negotiated a payment plan for 3 accounts from last month. The good news is these negotiated payments are interest free. The bad news is I'm paying for inflated services. After all a clinic is a business and those who don't pay and have nothing of value their loss is past on to me. At least thats the way I see it.Nothing like unexpected bills to crash the budget.

This is a new thread with paypal instructions for submitting your payments. Below is the list we compiled in the last couple of days of those interested in picking up a fork brace for their 1stGen. The price for those in the US is $61.50 delivered, and for those members in Canada the total will be $71.00USD delivered. I'd like to get the majority of the money into the paypal account in the next couple of days before I order the 45+ braces. Those that have already sent their payments in, a big Thank You, and to those that will.... Thank You too. I was fairly confident about hitting 20, but was a little skeptical about getting 40, and we finally hit 45 and it's still growing!!! WOW!! For payments go to www.paypal.com and Enter the email address paypal@cast-aways.com Also enter your board name, and if you'd like black or aluminum. Enter the appropreate amount and don't forget to hit the send button. As stated in the previous thread it makes my life so much easier.... and less confusing If you're new to Paypal let me know and I'll walk you through it, or I can invoice you from this end. When invoiced you'll get two email. One is a 'how to' and the other is the actual invoice. Youse guys are GREAT!!!!! We have a situation that is not going to effect those who have already paid for their braces, but will effect a handfull of members on the list who do not frequent the board all that often. Because of their infrequent visits, using the PM feature isn't effective when trying to contact them, and they also have designated not to accept email in their CP. Therefore I have no way of keeping them aware of what's happening, and if their braces aren't prepaid by the time I place the order, they will not be included. Sorry to have to take this stand, but I need assurance that what I order, I can pay for. 1. CondorPDAL2. CondorPDBLK3. SqueezePDBLK4. RocketPDAL5. squidleyPDBLK6. lonestarmedicPDAL7. Ken8143PDAL8.
