Ok, I found the idea for a tool to hold the damper rod in the forks . Simple enough, makes me wonder why I didnt think of it. Anyhow, can anybody tell me if a 15/16" bolthead will fit the damper rod on my 89VR? If not what size is it? Black Owl said he thinks it is a 17mm, but here in east Tn, the boys at home depot don't speak in mm. Just the same Black Owl, thanks for the input.

A few weeks ago, I asked for your prayers for an unnamed member. Well that member is our own one and only Black Owl and he is still in need or our prayers. Russell was admitted to the hospital before Christmas with complications from pneumonia. Things got really bad and to be honest, a lot worse than he really wanted anybody to know. He is doing better now but is still hospitalized and has a ways to go. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. -

Black Owl and I (Bubber) will be traveling to LaPorte next weekend 7/28 to finish up the Pig Roaster we started last Fall. Not all that much to do but it needs to get done and ready for the guest of honor, Mr Porkasourious. :rotf: Gary when you read this this is the only warning you get that we are invading your workshop. LOL I have got to get with Black Owl to finalize the lift off time and slash down and just the other stuff in between other than that we are all set. If any one is interested in lending a hand or just stopping in to see to old farts working and offering your 2 cents worth about the design... have at it! Other than that see you all in the Fall at the Pork in the Pines. Bubber

OK Folks, Many of you know the shenanigans that went on at MD this year. Kregerdoodle (formerly Kbay) did a great job of punking me and embrodered "Cupcake" on me favorite Navy cap. You can all absolutely trust me in when I say I WILL get Kreg back, and it will be epic....but here's the question for y'all. We all know that some folks have gone through name changes here. There was the time that Black Owl turned himself into 3 headed dog man along the river Styx...or something like that. That one didn't last too long and he magically turned himself back into an owl again (like clash of the titans) So my question to folks is....do I really seem like a "Cupcake" to you I mean dont get me wrong, I LOVE Cupcakes! they are fantastic. I have no problems with my new name, and some are catching on to it and referring to me as it, so should I keep it forever and ever....and yes I am strong enough to be know as "Cupcake" as long as I am on this site

I got cool stuff sat. and today ! Sat. i got the new V4 m/c covers from Renne , could not turn off the flash on camera so the pic's are not that good but the covers look great ! today i also got the Hooti Bootis from Black Owl pic is a lot better , Black Owl , your rite ! just what it needed ! also got my new VR bell today ! today was just like Xmas !

Has anyone heard anything from Black Owl. Last time he posted was the 19th about going for Blondie Burgers. His father was having health problems. Just hoping everythings ok.

Where do I find the information on PIP, MD, and such on here? As in when, where, and who to talk to If one was able to show? I see Black Owl is from Apple Valley, which is not to far for me. So do I assume that PIP is also in that area? Thanks, Bill

I got home from the holidays and finally was able to catch the managers at the mailroom today so I could get a package that I got a notice for...... And it was a VentureRider gremlin bell! I cannot WAIT to put it on the VStar. Thank you so much Black Owl for thinking of me.... I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Happy New Year to everyone! --Courtney

This is a day that will go down in the anals of VenureRider history. As you folks may know, ythere was a breakfast Meet and Eat held in St. Paul, MN this morning. And......... (drum roll please)................... Black owl was the only one that showed up on a scoot. Of course I looked like a drowned rat when I got there. Got about 10 miles down the road from the house when the sky's opened up...........
