I will be changing my brake pads as part of my spring maintenance. I was planning on replacing them with the organic EBC pads (currently use organic EBC pads) but while at the EBC website I discovered EBC's new for 2012 V-pad. See link below for more specifics. Apparently it is a semi sinistered pad????? Longer life, quieter etc etc. I have not figured out if they cost about the same as organic or are they made of gold. Anyone have any experience with these or an opinion about putting V-Pads on my 06 RSV. I have had not problems with my current brakes but always like to enhance performance and useful life of stuff like this. Thanks for your thoughts. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/ebc_v_pads/index.shtml

I need to change by brake pads. Now I would like to know what kind I should purchase. I have seem several types advertised. What is remommended? Organic, Kelvar etc. I know on my 33 plymouth I used the metallic dustless pads but I haven't seen anything advertised for the bikes but Organic and kelvar on ebay. The ones I have now seem to be ok as far as dust but I know the back pad only lasted 1 year or about 8k. I use and believe in the friction zone and perhaps that is why the rear wore out so fast but I don't care I like the fricion zone expecially in this Houston traffic. Any suggestions/links to which pads I should consider? BTY Just ordered the Stelbel horn and Carbon One bracket to replace my current horn. thanks

Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me what the brake pads on the newer Ventures are made of? Are they organic, sintered, etc? The fronts on my 07 sound like a snarling box of rocks any time I brake (2500 miles and have done it form virtually mile 0) . I just won some EBC FA179 organics on ebay for next to nothing and I was wondering if the organic pads would be somewhat quieter. Thanks for any opinions and input.
